Honda Civic MK8 Radio Removal & Secret Tip !

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Unlike perhaps some other videos, I show you realistically what's involved to remove the Honda Civic MK8 for the first time, with tips and things to avoid to help you so you can get a true feel.
I cover each screw and panel that needs to be removed and care required.
In addition there is a little secret tip that will save you time and stress for future work too !
Lastly, I show you how to install a USB, Bluetooth, AUX adaptor, however despite it connecting and plugging in, it did not function for me, but the install remains the same.

Your videos are tremendously helpful thankyou so much mate 👍🏻 Question, I have a 2.2 2009 4 door and I don't have an AUX under my arm rest. Do you know if I can put in a replacement centre bit with armrest from a car that has the AUX umder the armrest and just wire it up ? I assume the wires/connectors will be there regardless just like the heated seat connectors are there even without heated seats.

Hi there, I too do not have an AUX socket despite showing on my Radio. I didn't notice a spare loom for the AUX when I removed the centre console though. It would be probably easier to find what plug at the back of the Radio can be used for AUX, then you can plug in a Bluetooth module to stream wirelessly,

Just done this today, thank you for the basic info. However two things: 1) them clips that you broke are push in, they have a middle point which if you push it in the clip comes out with zero effort. 2) I installed the same exact kit as you and as well could not hear anything. But... turned engine on (not ignition) and hey presto works. Call volume is very low though but a2dp is great.

Fantastic video mate, probably saved me a massive amount of time. My question is (if you can answer it) I've put an aftermarket radio in now the temperature control screen no longer comes on. Does it merely need power ie wire bridging to the stereo? I don't want to spend £70-80 for connects2 loom. Was wondering if you knew anything Cheers

@@2601johnboy I had a little look into this, it seems that others have had similar issues. Is your adaptor plug a Connects2 ? First you have to fully plug in both ends of the Connects2 SWC black box (complete the loop). The ISO harness is the last thing you plug in, and should hear a beep. Maybe unplug just the ISO harness, then reconnect it. Then see if the SWC functions can be programmed.? It looks like all harnesses need to be connected to create the loop and done in an order perhaps?
