Honda CBR500R review (4K) - Onroad.bike

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The CBR500R became better technically, too - but the most important change is the extremely aggressive design. Let's see the sportiest 1/2 liter Honda!

if you're worried about being too big for this bike, DON'T!!! This guy is a big dude compared to most people. Average person will look like they are riding on a 600-1000

Bought a 2019 CBR500R in March since there was a nice sale before the 2020's coming out, and It's been awesome. It's so perfect for my height and flat foot with ease, and it is sexy as hell and has PLENTY of power on the highways and interstate. The gas mileage is off the hook as well. 70-80 mpg average? Yes, please. What I love most about it besides the amazing paint job, is that it looks like a supersport and since I'm only 5'9 at most, i don't look over-sized on it. Absolutely GORGEOUS bike and super comfortable, unlike my old 600RR.

@@ElCoco1984 there's plenty of power if you treat it as a regular small engine sport bike that it is, just like a 300. but yes, more HP would be nice to see on a 500, but im completely fine with what it does. from a complete stop i can get from 0-60 faster than most cars on the road. it just doesnt have insane passing power that a supersport has, and the gear ratio is very short from 1-4

4500 km owner review: Completely agreed on the wind noise. The wind hits the bottom of my helmet causing loud buffeting/turbulence sound. Removing the windscreen helped, but over 110 km/h it becomes pretty bad still as the dash is like a mini windscreen. Otherwise the bike is excellent. Average around 3.2 L/100 km, insurance is very low, and easy to ride. The lighting is great but I wish the high-beams were wider as you can't see into corners well on dark country roads.

This bike is $2000 more than it's obvious competitor and the specs sheet offers 0 reasons fir the price premium???? Why buy this Honda over A Ninja/Z400??? Nobody I've asked that has answered this question in A concise way yet, so I'll float it here?

@a lover. I dont know any kawi dealers who dont charge every possible charge on top of MSRP. New 2020 non abs 400 ninja was 6235 out the door. Speedometer when reading 112 was actually only 106. That being said it's still a nice bike. My local honda dealer charges msrp plus ttl only so the price is not that far off out the door. The honda is tuned down for European markets which leaves a lot of available add on power. Next the extra weight of the honda will make long highway trips more comfortable and stable in wind plus more comfortable for larger people. If I wanted a track bike it would be the kawi for everything else the honda.

Simply put it looks way better then anything else in its class. Would I prefer it had more performance? Sure. But looks come first for me. Plus on the Kawi my heal was hitting the pipe so wasn’t a comfortable seating position.
