Along with "The Wire", NYPD BLUE & Hill Street Blues, "Homicide" ranks as the greatest cop show ever simply because it was so much more than just a cop show. Great writing, acting and direction made these shows Great.

Yeah Adrienne Shelley was good. It's maddening for what little she was murdered for.
