My older sister used to sing this to me whenever I had nightmares as a kid. I’ve been looking for it but I couldn’t find it for the longest time. But humming it always calm me down when I’m stressed

Hey, do you have the sheet music for this song as a soprano only version? I have only found this song as an ensemble piece. We sang it in chorus a few years ago, and I had the solo part, and I want to sing it for an audition, but I cannot seem to find a solo arrangement!

In the quiet misty morning When the moon has gone to bed When the sparrows stop their singing And the sky is clear and red When the summer's ceased its gleaming When the corn is past its prime When adventure's lost its meaning I'll be homeward bound in time Bind me not to the pasture Chain me not to the plow Set me free to find my calling And I'll return to you somehow If you find it's me you're missing If you're hoping I'll return To your thoughts I'll soon be list'ning In the road I'll stop and turn Then the wind will set me racing As my journey nears its end And the path I'll be retracing As I'm homeward bound again Bind me not to the pasture Chain me not to the plow Set me free to find my calling And I'll return to you somehow Bind me not to pasture Chain me not to the plow Set me free to find my calling And I'll return to you somehow In the quiet misty morning When the moon has gone to bed When the sparrows stop their singing And the sky is clear and red When the summer's ceased its gleaming When the corn is past its prime When adventure's lost its meaning I'll be homeward bound in time

Oh my goodness!!!! I am going to sing this song and was looking for examples and boy did I find it! So beautiful I teared up. I felt every word like I was trying to hold on to the sound before it slipped away. So beautiful and vibrant. Lovely.
