After Brett pulled out a B, and said ‘B for Brett!’ they both wanted the next one to be E for Eddy. Surprisingly, they pulled out an E, but you can see the disappointment in Eddy’s face when he genuinely thinks that his name doesn’t start with E. Then, they get it.

She is talented, no doubts about it. But she cheats no doubts about it either. I don't like her style. She exaggerates. She want to be always the first. She is talking too much about herself. She uses sentences like "my orchestra" , "my opera", "my concert" way too much. I think she is a half prodigy and a half spoiled brat. And this combination DOESN"T work as in classical music is nothing for free. If she want to be a great composer without struggle, tears, pain and obstacles, good luck with it.

Just gotta love how they started their composing with jokes and ended up completely loose bursting with creativity.

5:36 Brett's C was surprisingly in tune.

Their edgy duet reminds me of two psychopaths encountering one another and not realising the other is an equal. Both continue to build up traps after traps for one another and they start to realise bit by bit how identical they are yet the race to kill one another is ongoing. Finally both come to a point where they find love in each others’ madness and die together in a collective trap they lead each other towards. It’s perfect.

My son is in his 2nd school year of violin, and his best friend is trying to learn piano. (8th graders) This totally reminds me of them. Hopefully they have this much fun together playing 10 years from now 😍 What I like most about Eddy and Brett is they genuinely have FUN with music; and as bada** as they are, they are very humble, fun, and relatable.

@@David61026 He had to go to the hospital a few times and ended up being bedridden for a while. His hospital visits spanned over the course of several months, but he was bedridden for just a few months. Then he started recovering slowly, and eventually made his way back to KZread. They never fully disclosed what caused his health condition, so don't bother asking what it was lol. This all happened after the "blind dating musicians" video (or something, I don't remember) so you can check out the timeline from there. The video where Eddy bought Brett Christmas presents was also during Brett's recovery period. Hope that helps explain it!

It is an an improvised piece. Some organists who are very good at improvising can do it as well. She's has actually become quite well known in recent years. Her first opera is actually very impressive. It premiered in Vienna. Just before the pandemic a major orchestra piece premiered in Carnagie Hall.

You are insanely talented and hardworkers in the same time. Both piano and violin sonatas sound great but when you joined forces, wow, it was amazing. Then starting at 14:00 you are absolutely crazy. in case this isn't obvious -- the reason she turned B into Bb is because she has Eb, so with Bb and G and A it's just key of Bb major, but with B natural it's a mess

E to B is a perfect interval, so it only makes sense Eddy and Brett are perfect for each other.

Her parents are both Oxford professors. She only had one day of school. Until lately, learning to conduct in .Vienna.

The horror music bit at the end was absolutely fantastic. I rlly want them 2 sit down & seriously compose something together to play for this channel sometime. It would b rlly cool 2 hear what they could come up w/ together when they're seriously trying w/out an antics.

@@SerpentWolf333 Bingo, she was quite Mozart inspired and Eddie was late romantic era-hence the more varied chord progression. It was slightly whimsical too..(kind of a cross between a Scott Joplin rag and Percy Grainger's Golliwogs Cakewalk) In truth, her composition was far more complex for the style it was written in. It was a shame 60minutes cheated with B natural, when obviously she treated it more as a B-flat..still as a B natural it would have been quite easy to make something based around C-minor instead of Gmin.....Back to Eddie, for a minute of work his piano solo was pretty amazing too. (Especially the second subject). And the duet they created had a decidedly early 20th century style-possibly a bit de Falla or Villa-Lobos (definitely Spanish/Latin American influence.)

Yes! Those were the exact things I was thinking. I made my reply in contrast to the original comment. You couldn't make an objective comparison of the two compositions based on complexity whilst ignoring the defining differences in genres.

coming back to this 3 years later and I am impressed with all of the compositions (especially the one where brett played the violin with eddy playing the piano)

Update: She plays a Strad now.
