We're running you through our day to day chores and how we manage getting it all done while working full time jobs. Chip works full time away from the farm, Nicole gets to work a hybrid model allowing some days working remotely but has crazy travel weeks for work. With all that we manage a 1000sqft garden which produces all year, plus our livestock. If we can do this and you WANT to, don't let your 9 to 5 discourage you from starting!
We're a small family farm in the Florida Panhandle. After relocating back home from the Middle East we wanted to build up the most self- sufficient lifestyle possible with our kids in order to grow as much of our own food as possible. Through raising livestock, tending to a garde, preserving food through canning and fermenting, learning about local fauna for medicinals and wild edibles, we are hoping to encourage others to do as much as possible for themselves through re-learning some of the fogotten "old" skills.

You all work so hard. It is not easy. When I was younger I raised 4 children , worked in an office and I had a part time job for 3 night a week. Gardens, the boys cut the grass but didn't like to garden. The girl was the youngest and she didn't like gardening either. Oh well, I was a single mom but it all worked out in the end. I remarried when I was 68 and I have never been happier. Hugs for you all.

Great episode. It’s all about how we want to use and spend time. We’re full time job homesteaders too. I still think I’m a full time homesteader. All our spare time goes here and our kids are invaluable with the evening chores!

Everything looks great so y’all got a great routine going this lifestyle isn’t for everyone but y’all make it look easy. BTW our puppy is doing great he thinks he is way bigger than he is lol take care and have a great week.

It's a salcutta tortoise. And unfortunately the emu didn't make it.
