Our challenge for 2019 is to spend 1000 hours outside! Can you believe it? That's 2 and 3/4 hours outside A DAY! With 5 kids aged 10 years and under, it's ambitious. But I know we can do it!! By using fantastic resources (which we will always share with you!), determination and a deep love for our 14 acre Boreal forested homestead in Northern Ontario, Canada. oh Hooray!! They're fantastic aren't they? Do you know if public schools still receive the paper-magazine order forms? They were always a highlight during my years in public grade school.

Loewenwood Forest Homeschool Yes, they do still get magazine order forms. I have friend’s daughter that gets them. I homeschool my son so he does not get them.

Aside from the math chapter, would you say that the English/social studies/science chapters could suffice as “work” to go towards their curriculum requirements in the Complete Canadian Curriculum books? Obviously we would do more writing, reading and science experiments! Greetings from B.C.! First time home learning for all my kids this fall:) They are enrolled in a DL program.
I love your videos. We are in PEI Canada, and we homeschool. My husband is french and Im trying to incorporate some french into there school day. What's your favorite french item?

Right now it's the Grammar posters I purchased from Scholastic. They're an easy tool to teach the kids a part of French that , I've found, is learned through daily repetition. I also really enjoy the French CDs we listen to during play time indoors or in the car. Trips to town are 20 min each way so it's a great time to hear some more French! And I love hearing them sing the songs to themselves when they play.
