Made this plow with an existing plow design. Works great and pushes a lot of snow.

Plow is long gone. Used a couple years. Blade was heavy and indestructible. But the wooden push frame kept snapping. Couldn’t come up with a good design out of wood to handle the pushing

A few detail / closeup photos would be nice. Has it held up over the years?

I used it for 2 years. Push frame was the weak point. Making it strong enough was beyond my engineering abilities

Very nice! Sorry you had sent me this link long ago in a comment but youtube held it as spam due to the link, I will go ahead and approve it now, sorry I just noticed it now. Good work on your plow, it looks great & seems to get the job done.

I don’t make one. But it would be a long boring video if I did. A lot of head scratching as I’m not very good at building things

Thanks. It lasted a winter and a half. The plow was solid. But I had troubles making a wood push frame that took the abuse

Unfortunately no. I didn’t really have a plan. Just bought materials and made it. It got heavier than I first planned but pushed well

Honestly when I built this years ago I was just winging it. So nothing was documented. Plow was extremely strong. It was my wooden push frame that eventually failed.

The plow itself was rather indestructible. But I went through a few push frames. Couldn’t make one to stand up to the abuse. I used the plow for two winters before ditching it. I enjoyed it though.

@@jbouchard4877 so the wood plow held up but your hitch frame is what wouldn't hold. I'm pretty sure you can buy the metal frame from snow sport separately
