Homemade Tricep Rope Under $5 [HOW TO]

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

How to make a strong tricep rope. Use for your own home gym or bring it to the gym. Most shackle weight ratings are over 1,000 pounds. The rope sisal will generally be over 300lbs depending on what type you use. I still use this tricep rope to this day and have put inches on my arms because of it lol. Takes a while, but I'm up to 16". Aiming for 18". I used to be really skinny obviously so it takes a lot of time.
I got all of the materials from Walmart. For the tools I had them laying around the house!
Thanks for watching Homemade Tricep Rope Under $5 [HOW TO]!!!!

    Update: I still use this band. I actually got my arms just above 16inches now. Like I said, I still use this rope and it has been 5 years. I do wish I would have made the rope a little thicker. I may experiment with a thicker rope and try some PlastiDip on the ends to have something better to grip onto. Overall I still love this thing. Cheers.

    thanks for sharing. I had the same idea but just couldn't figure our what I should use to make the rope attachable to the carabineer.

    It's 2023 and I just went to Lowe's and bought 4 feet of yellow three strand twisted polypropylene rope 3/4 inch thick for $.42 a foot. $1.68 before tax. Yellow is nice and bright. I had all the other parts needed laying around to build the pull down. Nice video though! Thanks.

    It's 3/8" thick rope. Going thicker wouldn't hurt. I wouldn't go thinner than that.

    With age the rubber band will break. I suppose the melted ends and the knot will hold it together.

  • @Matt_Does_How_To

    @Matt_Does_How_To

    Correct. I used the rubber bands just to hold it together. I still use this cord 24/7. It hasn't broken yet. I do wish I made the rope a little thicker.

    What diameter is the individual cord, and when wrapping your three pieces of cords, do you get a 1” diameter rope?

  • @Matt_Does_How_To

    @Matt_Does_How_To

    Hey Domenic, each rope is 3/8". I just measured it. When you twist it together, it's somehow 1" diameter. I recommend making it thicker (Advice from 5 years of using it).
