Love the Honda 3 wheeler, brings back so many fond memories good and bad!

It's always good to see a great workshop. Really like your home made tools and workshop helpers, now I have some projects ... thank you.

Lots to think about there, I'm gonna show that tool shelf to Bill up on the Hill. He could definitely use something like that. He's welded together other useful things, and that could really help. My dog is kinda similar to that one. Even has a tendency to sneeze. :) great video sir :)

I used some aluminum fire extinguishers and filled with water and air 60 psi. For when we would go camping and have a bonfire, we could put out any stray fires.

OK, so I had a stuck inlet check on an injection pump on a diesel engine. Transfer pump only puts out 2-4 PSI. So I dug up an old extinguisher, and cleaned it out, made an adapter so I can hook a hose between it and the fuel inlet fitting. Put 40 PSI air in it (with diesel fuel also) and connected it up. It pushed the check plunger open, fixed the problem. I painted the body of the extinguisher gray, so it don't look like one anymore. This was a great fix! Great idea!

My Grandfather was a mechanic and always chose to have a mix match of tools, it enabled him to quickly locate certain size wrenches etc. He always said the sockets and wrenches should be color coded for the different sizes. Apparently you guys run on similar wave lengths, thanks for sharing your tips and tricks.

I did this back in the 70's but I replaced the adjuster screw with a like size bolt. But I like your Idea better, will have to redo mine.

They make re-fillable aerosol cans, Shur-Shot is one brand, we use them at my work, we buy brake clean by the pail! But I bet an old fire extinguisher is a lot cheaper!

Roller trays are great things. Every shop needs at LEAST one. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing. On occasion I get to go inside various people's work shops and see some real gems. Though some folks have passed away, or has gotten ill- it is great to see some of their hand made tools or solution that was devised to correct a problem or get at a hard to reach bolt or something. It can be a challenge to figure out what it was used for sometimes. There will be a time or two a relative there will know. More mysteries than solutions found it seems. The sad part of it is many times you see things that were really creative in their design and took time to make, be no more than scrap when everything gets sold off. The telescoping cart was so simple it was brilliant. Did you say how much air pressure you juiced the portable.parts cleaner up to?

Hi Tom, no I didn't. What ever the high line is at on the compressor. 80 - 150 psi. Enjoyed your logic on the home made tools. Yes - I have some that I don't even remember what they were for. For a while now I have been writing on them so... I too had that thought where if I am gone so much would be no more than scrap metal to others.

I enjoyed that very much. I could use the adjustable mobile tray for sure.

A slight modification I made to my vise grip puller was to grind the tips some so they made more of a little "hook". I tangle with cotter and flywheel keys on old engines (usually rusted in place) and this really helps. Also, on some of the larger flywheel keys I drill and tap the outer flat end of the key for installing a screw or bolt which is really handy to grip on to. (I am talking about the larger cast iron wheels.)

Great to see you back. I'm wiring my new shop up now, when it's not TOO cold. Has been single digits or below zero every morning for almost two weeks. This is for retirement, so I'm not pushing too hard! 35'X70'X24' peak. Looking forward to more videos... I have to be careful saying that 'Back in the 70's' Lol grandkids ROLLING eyes. I guess it was quite a while ago. . . for them! One of my first projects is going to be a used oil burning stove. I have a victim, sorry, DONOR stove and a process controller all ready. Bought a Milnor 93% efficient unit heater for basic heating. I have two Honda 250 three wheelers my son left in my garage. I used to have a 350X years ago. Possible projects... lol. I have a 'few' ViseGrip Frankensteins of my own... Cheers! Michael in Colorado.

Great tips, thanks. Can you give us any details on the plastic paint and clear coat that you used on that 3 wheeler, which looks brand new after you painted it. Is the edge guard you put on the parts washer tray suitable for clamping seat material to seat frames on something like an old garden tractor with a seat that needs to be re-done? Thanks for making this video.

That edge guard is kinda small, probably not ideal for your seat thoughts. I went out and got you the P?N's for... Brand name is SEM. Always stick to the same mgfr on paint stuff in case you weren't aware of... The plastics adhesion coating # is 39963, the paint was called Portola red, 15363, the clear, wow, no P/N on can but called SEM clear coat flexible coating. These were all aresol cans to make sure again.... Can't assume - no good!

Sorry - not knowledgeable on those machines but if in tight quarters (lotsa trees, etc) I would prefer an automatic otherwise I still like the clutch deal and fun of shifting.

Some great ideas. How long does the paint on the wrenches last? I am still pulling metric out of the standard wrench drawer. Sometimes my wife and son put them away and don't pay attention. Any other ideas would be great. Like how to know impact sockets size without squinting or a better way to hold sockets. There are quite a few products but nothing for the guy that has to pull a row out and take them outside. They are either flimsy or they flop around on a peg that you can't lay down in a tool box.

That is epoxy primer with the activator that I used. No paint just that primer. My best guess is they were painted at least 20 years ago. Where the epoxy is 2 part that even makes it pretty much even resistant to brake fluid, lacquer thinner, etc.

I haven't ever used the Verus. I do have the Solus pro and do love it. It does have wave form on 4 screens however it is not as fast as my bench scope which is instant v/s instantaneous. Bought that from a TV repair guy who retired. Can't remember how much. Something like several hundred bucks. (cheap v/s Verus!) Hope this helps,,,
