Homemade Thai Chili Paste/Nam Prik Pao (น้ำพริกเผา)

250 g of Shallots, thinly sliced
1 head bulb of Garlic, thinly sliced
25 g of galangal sliced
60 g of Dried Shrimps, soaked in water for 10 minutes, drained
50 g of Big Dried Chilies wash and cut into smaller pieces
15 g of Small Dried Chilies, wash it
1 tsp Roasted Shrimp Paste
50 g Palm Sugar
100 g of Tamarind Liquid
5 Tbsp of Fish Sauce
1 tsp of salt
2 Cup of Soya oil or Peanut oil
This chili paste is the MAIN INGREDIENTS to use in Tom Yum soup beside adding fresh lemongrass stalk,galangal,garlic,shallots and kaffir lime leaf. Stay tune for my tom yum soup in my next video.

    My children eat it with a little peanut butter spread on toast or toasted frozen roti canai/paratha. A handmedown comfort food from their dad.

    @@Thearaspicykitchen i m not sure about the name...but i guess is this...pad ped padu in the end the paste is really sticky to the fisch..or meat..whatever...and super spicy :-))))

    ArrogantBaSStard any brand you can use. Small dried chili you can buy any brand asian but the big I used Mexican chile

    The big dried chillis is less hot while the small Thai dried chillis are very hot. Mix them proportionally to suit your taste/

    You can store it away in glass jar and standby for use as tom yam chille paste and general use for spicy cooking.
