I legit thought it was an intruder. Making alcohol produces co2 gas which when u don't leave the cap open a bit like she said will build pressure and explode she's showing a picture from the news where this exact thing happened

put rubber glove over mouth. watch it fully inflate over the next day or 2. Poke small holes in the fingers of glove to allow slow release of gases. When done fully deflating your wine is done, or at least the fermentation is no longer producing gases. Add small amounts of sugar. sugar feeds yeast but too much will kill yeast.

in the house I grew up in my backyard had a grapevine. When I was a little girl about 6 or so my parents picked a ton of grapes probably about four 5 gallon buckets of red grapes to make wine. They had me take a bath and make sure I was extra clean put me in a very thin white linen dress and had me stomp grapes till they were all squished and ready to go! I guess it's a tradition to have young girls stomp the grapes, they call it "virgin grape/virgin stomped wine" as it was seen as "unpure" if a non virgin female or male stomped the grapes. ❤ A beautiful childhood memory. Even though I ended up getting a rash on my legs from something in the grapes I was sensitive to. 😂
