HOMEMADE FIREWORKS | Rolling BLUE stars around mustard seed cores
Ойын-сауық
Hey fellow #pyro - I have some red, white and blue shells planned. Today I wanted to show off my new toy - a HF Cement mixer star roller! I figured I'd share how I do it, since there really aren't many videos showing the very beginning of the #star #rolling process.
Let me know if I did anything silly or if you have suggestions!
The composition I am using: www.fireworkscookbook.com/fir...
In this case I replace the parlon with Saran and the red gum with Phenolic Resin

Great stuff n info 🔥🔥👍🏻👍🏻
Pyro sience blue nice composition very deep blue color
did you use iso alcohol and a water mix? I tried a very similar comp, phiko blue a few days ago using denatured alcohol.. WOW what a mess that was.
😍😍
red iron oxid apakah sama dengan red gum? answer please🙏🏻🙇🏻
You've likely already figured this out, but it's much easier to star the cores in a separate small container, get a layer of comp rolled on them, and then put them in the big roller.
Brilliant Blue! Not that I recommend or possess it, what would happen if one were to replace KClO4 with KClO3? Just curious.
I find starting them out is always the hardest part
What prime did you use?
What is the formula brother which chemical you use
Good place to get mustard seeds in bulk?

I picked these up on Amazon. My local grocery store sells them in the natural food section too. The pack I have will make a LOT of stars tho

What is your blue star formula if you mind me asking
Let’s see? Your mist is too heavy, you need an actual atomizer mister bottle that puts out a super fine mist. You get things way too wet, applying too much comp at one time, not waiting long enough between applications, you need to be adding much less comp, just a fine dusting per application. You also need to be sorting your stars through star sorting screens or buckets regularly to help keep them uniform, which in turn will make them roll better too. You should be stopping more regularly and drying them between sessions. Even when they are that small. It can take the better part of a long day and eat a lot of comp just to get good 1/4” stars. Days or weeks of work for larger stars. You’re getting a lot of clumping and raspberries. Using the toro method is way better. Look up Steve Hubing… he actually knows what he is doing. Maybe learn the basics from the masters before throwing up a you tube channel and “showing people how to make homemade fireworks”? What your doing here is honestly dangerous and you need to learn waayyyyyy more yourself you start teaching anything anything to anyone. I just don’t want to see anyone get hurt, and watching your videos I can pick out sooo many close calls and dangerous acts it isn’t funny- clicks aren’t worth it, and you can’t monetize this kind of content anyway. You think you were the first person to try? You also need to fully understand the legalities of this hobby too, because it’s readily apparent you don’t.

Him and I are both fairly new to this specific side of the hobby. I have built shells before but that was with pre-built stars... We would love any constructive feedback if you are versed in rolling stars (which I see you have given).

What legality issues do you see on here?

I think I found a trick..... I stared using bird seed as cores but I picked up some cross talk that people start out with cut stars as cores... the sharp edges get rounded off over time and they tumble better....@@CurtieKing
You're adding too much liquid and comp. One light spray and one tp and let it roll as long as it needs to. If you see that the comp is damp, it's too much.
