I'm planning to do more videos like this and a bunch different firework ideas! Some of the videos are already done and some of them are about to be filmed! I can't wait to share them all here! So, I'm not trying to sell you anything here, but if you're impatient come visit my Patreon and you'll surely find new content already uploaded there, it's just another way of support for this channel so we can all together enjoy better content. All in all we both watch these fireworks go off thru the screen - I do when I film them and you when I upload it :) #PyroLove #MakeAndDestroy #Fireworks

Good experimental video. I agree with you. I like and use a high % of charcoal in blend compositions. Sometimes i also use Fe to obtain similar effect. both carbon and iron are high mesh, at least 150 mesh, obtainable with the ball miller. Thanks for video!!! Alex.

My favorite was the 10th one with 5g. The sparks almost formes a continues line without the black sky visible. Would certainly look nice in a shell but the single shots where a nice alternative. It doesn't have to be a big explosion every time. Keep on experimenting :)

You could try testing different mesh sizes of charcoal, and different types of charcoal. For example may star comps call for the use of pine charcoal, probably because it makes more sparks.

I would just like to say that the side-by-side already was really great and came out very well I would say the only thing that I would like you to do is lower exposure because the BP burns so bright that you can’t really see the colors but if you lower the exposure a bit you might be able to see the color a little bit better overall great video though

I use the sparkles mix burns a lot slower u get more hung time same deal just increase the BP mix much sume as your technique to speed the burn rate up all so I add magnesium for a wight embers I don't use dixren the sparkles all reddy haze binding agent in them an use your 50/50 as the spray to rebind then u mit have to to prime the stars for the intitial ignition or increase the BP in the star mix till u don't need the to primeing don't no if any of that helps with different way doing stars

FYI the thing that makes BP burn slower is the oxidiser to fuel ratio, i.e; 10 g of BP = 75% KNO3(Oxidiser) 15% Charcoal(Fuel) 10% Sulfur(Fuel, helps with faster burning as it burns better than charcoal). If the ratio of oxidiser gets lower there will be less oxygen for the fuel to combust making the reaction slower. Therefore adding more fuel makes it burn longer(less oxygen) and longer (more mixture)

Sulfur lowers ignition temp, but yea. I'm pretty sure M&D already knew this before the video and It's more just to see what effect it has from a more qualitative standpoint. It's especially valuable when you consider that stars are flying through the air which means they bump into more oxygen as they fly, but also that heat is lost more quickly for the same reason.
