Homemade Avocado Mayo 🥑
2 things.. First off, most mayos from the store are loaded with unnecessary ingredients and unhealthy highly inflammatory oils. Secondly, once you try homemade, you'll NEVER go back! It's so easy, you gotta give it a go. 🤌🏻
FULL RECIPE ⬇️
INGREDIENTS
- ~1 cup avocado oil (may need to add more after blending if you want a thinner consistency)
- 2 egg yolks (room temp)
- ~1 tbsp white vinegar
- ~1 tbsp dijon mustard
- Salt & Pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
1. Add all ingredients to a large jar.
2. IMPORTANT: Start immersion blender pushing against at the the bottom of the jar for ~25-30 seconds than slowly start moving it up and around and blend until smooth.
3. Add more oil until your desired thickness and adjust seasonings to your liking.
4. Place on lid and store in fridge. Best if used within 2 weeks.
3 Additional Mayo Combos:
1. Honey Sriracha Mayo: honey, sriracha
2. Garlic & Herb Mayo: add minced garlic, Italian herbs seasoning
3. Horseradish Mayo: Horseradish, cracked pepper
