Homemade 12 Volt Room Heater

In this homemade project i am going to show you how to easily make room heater at home. This room heater runs on 12 volt direct current power supply. It consumes around 14 ampere at 12 volts. This room heater can also be runs with a 250 watt solar panel. For power supply i used old computer power supply which provides 12 volt, 15 amperes. In this homemade room heater 18 gauge nichrome wire is used as a heating element.

Great project, you can use a mix of plaster, sand and lime to make accumulation body to impproved heater.

Your project is very nice and very helpful. But if I may kindly suggest, it would also be nice if the heating element can be turned (OFF)with a second switch where the device becomes a regular table fan on hot days and (ON) where it becomes a room heater on cold humid days.

Decided to watch something for an idea to replace my heater in my car, seeing as I have a ton of restistance wire from when I used to vape, I decided I'd try and make something work with a switch and reusing the fan to blow the air past the coil. I just need to hunt down some fire proof insulation material like this has

@@adi-oc1hl well, I ended up deciding against when I did the math and understood the required voltage required for a heater of this sort, which deciding to buy and fit like 5+ more car batteries and figuring out the alternator charging for such a thing.. yeah much cheaper and more reasonable just fixing up a custom heater core and fan setup. And by all means it could be possible, but definitely far from being practical lol

i my opinion this is power by electricity so....you have to make somethink like 0 electricity, but the ideea with the 250 watt solar panel its ok.nice clip (y)

it is plaster of paris (30 rupees a kg in Pakistan) and available from any hardware shop.

beautiful idea , but i noted that the fan isn't running , may adding thermostat will be a good idea as well.

PSU bekas PC (komputer) brow.. 12V-15A nya yg dipake... dideskripsi psunya bisa 15 amper, sedangkan pemanas buatannya memakan daya 14 amper..

You can find nichrome wire easily from electrical store who also deals in electrical heater parts. Nichrome wire also commonly known as heater wire.
