Homelite 26cc UT26CSEMC how to reload line/string

Here is the easy process for reloading string/line onto the Homelite model UT26.
It’s super easy, just keep it clean, that’s my only recommendation :)
Happy weed whackin’

Awesome job. This should be on the Homelite/Home Depot website

Oh my gosh, thank you for this video. I have owned quite a few string trimmers over the years, and although I am quite mechanical, I swear this head had me stumped because of the poor instructions in the Operators Manual. I fought this dang head trying to wind the string with the head out, no wonder I was having such a hard time. Apologies to whomever designed this, as I was cussing them out & wondered how stupid someone could be to make such a head. Joke was on me, actually quite a remarkable way to wind the string up.

Thanks man, the written and pictorial explanation confused me. Without this video I'd have messed it up.

There easy to assemble I assembled one in 2 mins but the first initial start of weedwacker is a pain you have the pull the rope 20-30 times before it will even start the let it warm up for a min or start cause if you don't it cuts it's self off

It’s a great machine. A few extra pumps on the primer bulb for the fuel will help in those first start-ups. @jim

I am so happy I bought this trimmer. This is probably the best/easiest trimmer to refill. Are there any other trimmers out there that reload like this as well?

hmm, I'd check classified for a used one the same as yours, they're fairly common, and often get thrown out because people leave old gas in them, and they sit and rot, and its cheaper for them to buy new than get serviced in their minds... thats my two cents... other than look up the proper part on homelite's webpage, or other small engine suppliers.

Easily. Press the two tabs and the head comes off. you can see each tab on the left and right right at 0.19 into this video.
