Homelander
Фильм және анимация
" I'm the world's greatest superhero."
The Boys is one of the best show currently on air and I highly recommend it to everyone. Such a fresh and interesting show. I took time to watch it and I regret not starting before. I decided to focus this video on Homelander as I believe he is one of the most promising character we have out there, brilliantly portrayed by Anthony Starr who deserves a massive recognization for this role. Hyped for the season 3!
Thank you everyone for the constant support and I hope this one will please you.

I"m in love with how his character was written. He's unsettling as all hell but you really do feel for him at the same time. A man who has everything but nothing. He's a beautiful illusion and nothing else....and that's beyond sad. Great freaking video. This was a masterpiece.

Especially in the first season, when he stands behind Deep, Hughie's baptism from Homelander or when he talks to Stan Edgar in season 2. Man, this show is awesome. Homelander really lands it. You know what would be awesome? To see Mads Mikkelsen in some role. His face acting and his typical face expression (see Death Stranding for example) would be a cool addition to the show.
At first sight, Homelander looks just like an evil superman wannabe, an easy joke on the hypocrisy of the american dream. As the series progresses, however, he grow up more and more until revealing himself one of the most interesting and disturbing villains in recent years. He starts out as a joke, but he's getting closer and closer to finally snapping and deciding to make the whole world cry. Scary shit...and an awesome choice for the video's song. This was better than everything I could ever imagine a homelander tribute being. You completely overdone yourself on this one. The atmosphere in the first part is way too fitting to be true. Showing his two faces with this song feels patriotic and haunting, mesmerizing to be sure. The second part I didn’t even know it was possible to make such an emotional tribute for him. I can’t believe how well you managed his scenes to create this. The construction between the dialogues and the clips is one of the best you’ve ever done. You fly above every The Boys tribute there is out there. You were right in point with this one. Absolutely breathtaking video, one of your best character studies ever. Left me in all states, shocked, speechless and mesmerized. Insane! 🤍
This character is ... profoundly intriguing to watch. He is vulnerable and terrifying at the same time - you understand why he is the way he is and the show allows you to feel that moment of "oh, ouch... that's so sad!" Without allowing you to forget what he's done and what he will do again. It's a very fine line to walk and it feels like they do it with such ease and grace that it almost looks easy, but it's not. It is not easy to make a villain this threatening and this scary, while still feeling human and three dimensional and still allowing your characters to one up them in believable ways. Maeve's coup at the end of Season 2 felt natural and well earned and it felt believable - turning Homelander's worst fear against him; the rejection of his fans. It makes sense and it works without feeling forced or heavy handed. It's been a long time since I watched a show that was this well written. I'm loving it.
The only thing holding back homelander from destroying everything is the love he want from people . That he didn't get from childhood
Homelander's life is nothing but a tragedy. But it's hard to feel sorry for him.

@@ardaakyuz1301 How is that 'satisfying'? Also the whole point of a hero is to save people.

God... This actor... I'm lost for words.
to quote will graham from red dragon "As a child, I weep for him. As an adult he's irredeemable."
This series is a tragedy that is seriously underrated
Only just discovered this masterpiece and I can’t stop watching it, what a superb video!

I binged watched all 3 seasons I hate waiting for the next season
I would like to just say, I enjoy your videos so much. You're able to capture things I haven't looked at in a story before or emphasize the major parts of the story. I know it's a lot of work especially for how long you're able to make the videos. But I definitely enjoy it and will often go back and watch a lot of your past videos. So thank you for doing what you do!
Best homelander video ever!!! 👏👏👏 brilliant music & editing! Anthony starr is definitely one of hollywood's finest actors.
holy fuck, i can't even tell how many times i've watched this tribute, most definetly the greatest Homelander tribute on YT. Fucking diabolical work Slyfer.
I CAN NOT see Anthony star in an interview without seeing him as homelander. That's how good his acting is. He literally just makes me believe he is homelander and that homelander is a real person.
LEGENDARY! The editing on this one is the best. And Antony Starr. Oh. My. God. He is right up there with the best actors on Earth.
Its about time they make him a True Villain in S3. With the Soldier Boy coming he’s gonna feel way insecure and angrier than ever before.
Didn't even finished the show but your video is more important to me than the show. Amazing man you are on fire recently keep releasing stunning video like that. You enhanced the character!
He's born to act as homelander
This video is a masterpiece. I have seen a lot of editing but imo this is the best one
This edit is NOTHING short of incredible! Had to sub after this. Thanks Slyfer!
This actors devotion to the role gives me Heath Ledger’s Joker vibes...absolutely phenomenal.
This is the kind of superman bruce wayne thought clark kent was

Love how you paid attention to details and adjust the volumes accordingly
Great video! Very well made. Anthony Starr just deserves all the emmy's right now god damn he's fantastic
Homelander is not “If Superman existed in real life.” Homelander is “If Superman never had Jonathan and Martha Kent.”
Love this 😍
This is your best work. The music, the editing, everything, its just phenomenal. I really feel for the character and maybe thats a problem thats a product of your work. Fucking amazing.
This is AMAZING! Especially the latter half of the video, so good!
This show wouldn’t be what it is without this actor. He plays the character so well
I wanted to hear vogelbaums "you're my greatest failure" at the end
This really is a tribute to Anthony Starr, he is an amazing actor, Great job editing this
Exceptional and amazing tribute to one of my favorite, complex, tragic characters on screen. Mr. Starr you ARE The Homelander!
Would love to see more “The Boys” edits! Such a great series with so many great characters

thank you for making this!!! what a masterpiece
Anthony Starr makes me love him as an actor so damn much because he was able to convey the kind of emotions that makes your skin crawl and your heart twisted. His character was so splendidly and cruelly written that he is right up there with the best characters such as Heath as the Joker or Peter as Tyrion..etc...
So alone, so rageful, so despicable in one word: Homelander.
