@@aprilsummers6447 This. So much this. A-train's superspeed sound when he takes off is super satisfying to hear. It explains his name and although I have no idea if that is what a human body breaking the sound barrier would sound like, if one were capable of running that fast, I could easily see it being true. A-train superspeed sounds is one of the best pieces of sound design on the show. I hope to see it in action several more times.

I love how the ‘superhero landing’ works so well on Homelander (and not in Marvel). 1. He’s invincible so won’t hurt his knees. 2. It’s part of his brand, he just does it to look badass; he knows there are cameras watching. 3. When he cushions the landing he’s not doing it to not hurt himself but to not damage the floor.

Captain never fell from the sky on his knees he did jump out of the elevator in the winter soldier but he didn't land on his knees, as for iron man if we're gonna talk about realism for ironman we should do the same for homelander for example how can he move as fast as he does with no propulsion, how does a man made medicine made back in the 1930-40s give someone that much power that makes no sense 2. When I said all superheros do it I meant in superhero media in general yes they are not the same universe but that's not my point, looking badass is literally what superheros do in media and its meant to parody that in a way too

Love how they made it sound like a sort of sonic boom whenever he lands in contrast to Superman always landing smoothly and gracefully when he comes down to the ground. Really shows how Homelander either can`t be bothered to practice a smooth landing or lacks the restraint to do so.

I like how they can get away without any special effect for this 90% of the time just by that sound. The sound is the ultimate 'Oh, shit.' I like how Stormfront lands much more normally. The superhero landing is a total PR move that's pointless, so makes sense he'd be the one to use it all the time.

Technically it makes sense. He is invincible, so, he can land at high speed. It also is effective as he lands on the battlefield and is able to strike almost instantly, making this landing both preferred and intimidating.
