Mrs. SB and I spotted this lawn when we were traveling to a nearby town and had to check it out. I noticed that there was a completely hidden walkway up to the front door so I decided to knock. Nobody answered but the next door neighbor told me it has been vacant ever since she’s been there. The grass never gets cut besides when the neighbors badger to city to do it about once a year and the sidewalks are completely unusable for the neighbors to walk on.

Better Help was shown to have unqualified 'therapists' and sold clients' info. I would really do some research and decide for yourself, but I think you should drop them as a sponsor even if you found it personally helpful. A number of people have been harmed either from unqualified therapists or by breaking of trust.

Being physically able to do your own lawn and yard work in your golden years is a great way to stay flexible and in shape. I'm 73 and still take care of the lawns on my front and back yards and all of the gardening beds. It's true that old saying about retired people having the best yards on the block (usually) and I enjoy it, although not so much when it's 90 outside and the dew point is in the high 60s or low 70s - ugh!

You would be able to get to know the people in your area better. I know, in some neighborhoods you might not want to know😁 Thank you and good luck!

Beautiful, well maintained homes in this neighborhood. It really is sad that the homeowner hasn't sold it to someone who would care for it. You did a really good job 👏

I know you just posted but man I woke up this morning and needed this so bad I felt like I should comment before I even finished. Love how you impact people keep doing what you do ❤
You're a sort of Suburban Archeologist....unearthing old sidewalks and such.
SB Mowing, this is one transformation for the books! I know I don't comment on every single video, sorry about that, but I feel like this one deserves one. Great job Spencer! I mean this house went from "Aww dang, looks like this house is vacant" to "WOW, look at that super cute home in a lovely little neighborhood". You put that home back into being "part of the neighborhood" and it looks so pretty to see the after pics. Well done Spencer, I think this will inspire more neighbors to come together & take turns helping out with keeping their neighborhood nice looking so the vacant homes don't become so easily spotted by "unwelcome or unauthorized eyes". When homes look vacant it draws attention to those whom can & will really speed up the deterioration of that property and sadly the surrounding homeowners have to deal with the issues. Now the property looks as though someone lives there and it turned out amazing. Thank you for your hard work! Much love from California❤🤙🏼
One of the most enjoyable things about your videos, other than how incredible you make these yards look, is the music you use at the end of each video. This one in particular was upbeat and really added a nice recap. My question is where do you get your music? I would love it if you would post the artist and song title in your video description. Your work really is amazing.
As a neighbor I would have tackled this yard myself. Especially now after you did all the hard work it wouldn't take much to just go over the front with a mower real quick. Great Job! New Subscriber here forever!!!

@@GuyWithTheDogs In most cities and towns in Kansas, and this is where I believe him to be, the homeowner is responsible for keeping the sidewalks clear of debris. Debris creates an environment for decay and unwanted vegetation. This vegitation causes cracks to expand and water to enter, freeze, and so on. If there is a conditional issue, again, it's up to the homeowner to report it. I know this as I am a resident of Kansas.

I am always amazed that on each side of a forgotten home are houses that have pristine sidewalks, but the overgrown sidewalks are always broken up. As always, great job SB.
This video answered two questions for me: ✅“how do you re-string your trimmer when it runs out?” ✅”does your edger ever get tangled when cutting out a hidden sidewalk?” Great job!
It seems to me that having someone come and care for the property would be good for the city. Just looked how much the neglect and overgrowth of the yard and sidewalks has damaged the sidewalk. Wouldn't it be cheaper to pay someone to clear the sidewalks than it would be to replace them? I guess not since it seems to be the norm. Welcome to your tax dollars at work. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Great job, Spencer. Thanks for the video!😊✌🌿

This house is still in really good shape compared to some. Get some other places in town that do home work, and contact 1 of 6 organizations I can think of. This house needs to be a home. There's many displaced people. I nearly became one of them due to a $150 /month rent increase. I gave a 30 day notice before we had anywhere to go! It happens that easily and that fast! We have many deserving people who just need a home.😊❤
