In this video I show how to easily build pre-finished drawers that require no finishing, minimal shop tools and are cost effective to build. I also show how to fabricate drawer fronts from white melamine material to match the rest of the closet and install the drawers with a few simple templates. Pretty cool method Brian, I have never knew that there was plywood pre-machined like that. I will have to check with my plywood dealer. I rent houses and tenants are brutal on drawers

Thank you! It's a great alternative. The big name for these is "BHK" but there are a few alternatives out there with rockler, woodcraft and the likes. They come in different colors too, so you could do white melamine as well. I feel you on the rental properties, they don't care and destroy everything.

Are there any pros/cons in placing drawer slide in the middle vs flush with bottom or is it just personal preference?

Not that I can think of, the weight is supported the same, it's all preference.
I know you can find solutions to this problem in the woodglut plans.
