@@efstro No, nothing online. I get a lot of material from Facebook Marketplace and CraigsList. Most people don’t think to look there, but lots of people mill limber or have stuff stored in barns that has never been touched. And thanks so much for the kind words!

Not sure why prices are so high. Plywood is in the neighborhood of 90% higher in cost and 2x4’s are near 200% higher in places. Utter insanity and really sad!

@@KeithJohnsonCustomWoodworking it makes me wonder if the inflation on wood pricing is intentional to drive real estate costs for new hones through the roof. Bad enough we have a higher population of renters than owners currently, it won’t help the economy or people looking to own at all. Where I am they are building multi-dwelling (apartment complexes) at a blinding number and pace. They have constructed 7, 15 acre 4 level 48 unit per building complexes with around 12 buildings each in the last 1.5 years. It’s crazy and so harmful to the community with the population impact and lack of support by commercial interest that people need to shop and work. Sorry, I get off track sometimes. I’m sure you probably don’t wanna hear about stuff like that HaHa!

Another amazing build with 10/10 craftsmanship and very entertaining narration! As an architect working on designing custom millwork daily it’s always very interesting to watch your videos and see first hand what goes ok behind the scenes. Did you consider doing a trapezoid shape for the top? Your drawers could have angled fronts and still slide out straight. Obviously too late now but i think it would have made the continuous grain on the fronts that much more prominent and given you a bit more surface of desk top. Obviously too late now but wondered if it was something your considered?

Thanks so much for the high marks, David! That means a lot coming from someone with your background. I actually never considered anything trapezoidal for the design, but I can definitely see how that could work. I'm just not sure how it would flow and work with the position of the window as it would cover part of the window sill. Unless, it came straight out from the wall and than angled out to the front where the drawer front started?

Beautiful work, I’m sad you didn’t film the entire build but what you did was great and you didn’t rely solely on pocket holes. I wish you’d give more detail and record more of your builds step by step instead of skipping on so much because it’s worth watching for us
