    this is a good way to mix the functionality of a standing desk while still enjoying a traditional wooden desk feel. the precision of the the drawer faces and the added curve on the front are lookin sleek.

    Awesome, as always. You are the reason that I bought the Bora centipede stands. I have the 2‘ x 4‘ and the 4‘ x 8‘ models. I use the heck out of both of them… And I love the convenience of being able to put them away as soon as I’m done - in my tiny little garage. Thanks for sharing… Best to you and yours.

    Absolutely amazing build I've been seeing these desks more and more either on TV or KZread commercials and of course Beautiful builds like yours. I very much would like a desk like this, I'm pretty capable of building a desk and drawer portion and maybe legs but not the rising part. Thanks for sharing.

    Really great build, and having the ability to stand for a bit is a big plus. I purchased your crib plans, and after building it and watching this build, I'm starting to think you are the dowel king, lol.🤣

    I really like this design with the storage under the desktop. I’ve been thinking about replacing my oversized L-shaped desk in my home office with a simple slab since I do t need all the filing storage my current desk offers. But I’ve been hesitant because there are still~some~ things that need to be around my desk like chargers, cables, etc. This design would be perfect for what I need to give me a minimalist desk combined with practical storage. Thanks for posting.

    When I saw the drawer fronts placed into the slots, I hoped that you were going to use "push to open" drawer slides, as it was such a nice clean look, and not use any pulls or handles.. Also, if there's a third setting for desk height, you could have 1 for sitting, 1 standing, and 1 for a height that will fit your chair underneath, but as low as possible..

    Sweet desk! Always learn something new from your videos! What grit sandpaper do you use for sanding the C A. Glue? I seem to struggle with clogging paper or scratching the wood

    Nice piece John. How do you decide when to and not to use dominos, biscuits etc to align boards for glue ups like this top and bottom here. You got a great outcome without them. Thanks.

    Just if some of the boards are bowed or something and need help staying aligned flat, or really large panels. These were all nice and flat, so easy to clamp up without any help

    3/4, usually starts around 1”. The top is a little thicker but I don’t remember exactly at this point haha

    We installed Vinyl luxury plank through out the house and I’ve been terrified of the plastic wheels on the office chairs scratching the floor. Interesting. Just wondering if you did anything with your plastic office chair wheels. Cheers! Love the videos. Keep it up John.

    You can store so you get air under the bottom. Helps keep it stable allowing the top and bottom to dry the same amount is the theory. That way you get less movement and won't have to re-mill loosing thickness.

    Very nice! My daughter and I just finished a similar project but with flexispot. Nice little table but not able to handle the extra weight like your top. I gotta ask how tall are you! It seems you may need to raise up your workbench to!

    Haha I’m 6’2”. I love the height for building bigger stuff like cabinets, but yea on stuff laying flat on the table the back starts to hurt for sure

    Enjoyed the video. Looking to build something like this for my kids. I do have a question. It’s more out of curiosity then anything else. Why only glue for the top and bottom panels and not glue and dowels? Is it a preference or is it for expansion purposes?

    I use dowels or biscuits if the panels are big enough or need some assistance keeping lined up. They’re just for alignment, all the strength is the glue

    No, I may have one set up with a plywood blade and one for hardwoods. Just really enjoying the Milwaukee right now haha

    Pipe clamps are so much cheaper than parallel clamps. Do they do as good of a job?

    This frame widens to just over 67”. So you’d have a 3.5” overhang on each side

    @@JohnBuildsIt support has been decent. I initially ordered a JX8 through their outlet and it was damaged upon receipt. They are now replacing the motor in the new unit free of charge. Hopefully this solves the problem!
