An absolutely timely movie. There are so many people sinking in debts, because they do not care for their money or keep a budget, and because they want to have desired things immediately. This goes across the entire world.

It's not a movie.lol.
I love these straight forward clear and authoritative voices.
They should be making these videos updated and shown on all channels
I so remember watching these films in Civics and Home Economics class in Jr and Sr High School. Lots of fun memories. Plus I learned many life skills young people miss out on today.
I wish this was still taught

Yes... so many parents dont know how to do it so they dont pass it down. Its all spiraling worse and worse with each generation that thinks they shouldnt have to wait or budget for anything.
In other words...Live within your means people
This video had me look up the etymology for _budget_ and I found it comes from the Latin _bulga_ 'leather bag'. A fitting term really as it gave me the image of how full or empty my money pouch is...if I had a bank then I would determine the bigger budget on how full or empty my money bags in my savings are.
The government needs to watch this video. They're $$33 trillion in debt! And they don't know where the money is going...

The only problem with saving for something, is by the time you save up the money, the price increases 😕

What is the simplest tool out there to create a budget?

Honestly, paper and pen. The easiest way I can break it down is 1. Write down all your bills, these are fixed expenses. These will never change and must always be paid (write down due date and remember that credit card payments count) 2. Write down variable expenses. These can change based on need. Eating out, transportation (bus fare or gas), spending money, house supplies, hygiene supplies , etc. 3. Figure out how much you spend monthly on each. For example, do you need $50 or $100 a month for hygiene stuff? Do you overspend on eating out or do you spend the needed amount? Etc 4. From there once you get your paycheck you pay all your bills (if monthly) or pay half your bills and the other half next pay (if paid biweekly/twice a month) or if you get paid weekly cut out 1/4 of your big bills like rent or car then pay what you can that’s due. 5. Write down how much you’re budgeting for variable expenses. For example, I’m paid biweekly, so $50 for eating out, $20 for house supplies like toilet paper, $15 for hygiene, $50 for gas, and $150 for groceries. Then keep within that number, sometimes things happen and you end up spending $200 on groceries or not eating out at all and having the $50 left. That’s okay you’re human and as you learn your budget you’ll learn to add more or less. Important things to remember!!! - Always pay bills first, even if it means no eating out budget or less in spending budget - Leave money in your budget for impulse/wants, for example I like getting my nails painted once a month so I put away $20 each paycheck to get it done. - Remember what you want to save for. I forgot to add but saving wise make a list of what you want to save for then list them from high to low priority and each check whatever is left after your bills and spending you split between savings. Knowing what you want will help you budget and save. - keep track of spending, there’s lots of apps out there to help you I highly suggest using ones or even writing it out to help you know if you’re over spending or have some wiggle room to add for extra spending That’s all I can think for now but if I know more I’ll post it Also like the video said not every budget is the same, look into what works for you and go from there. I say look into cash stuffing or the 50/30/20 budget plan but look around and see what works best. Good luck!!!!
