    So awesome. I had my pontoon out for two hours and saw that steering and speed control were going to be a real problem. Not to mention trying to catch fish at the same time. Lots of vids out there that address the issues but don't give real clarity. Thank you for sharing. I'm starting my build on Monday. Thank you in advance for part 2.

    Do don't say much of the turning mechanism. Do you mind sharing how you built it?

    I was thinking if you got a used minnkota auto pilot compass board from 12v power drive. The autopilot in those are pretty simple, supply voltage in and output to a single motor. So press a button in board it sets heading and locks it in till you turn it off and will apply the needed signal to 12v motor to rotate the motor to keep you on that heading. Mount the unit up front and let it steer in the rear.

    I dont know how much that is but everything for those ipilots is so expensive

    @@laingej I was referring to auto pilot from older units, they are mechanical compass not gps that new pilot are.
