+JOhn Dawg Either Marv has seen it or, maybe when Kevin was tricking the "Little Nero's" pizza kid, both Harry and Marv were hiding outside somewhere hearing it. Or, maybe it was in the beginning of the movie when Kevin said that Uncle Frank wasn't letting him watch a movie when Harry was inside disguised as a cop and maybe Marv was listening from outside. (I know it was the same movie because in the book it was mentioned that Kevin decided to watch the movie that Uncle Frank didn't let him).

Afriendofbean-That's right, the book does open with Uncle Frank refusing to let Kevin watch the movie(Uncle Frank brought it himself) and so now Kevin has the chance to watch it since he "made his family disappear"(so he thinks!) You might have also noticed in the book that Kevin does not hear his dad say that the airport limos are picking them up instead of they taking the cars to the airport(hence when Kevin is looking for everyone the next day and sees the cars still there as well as messes throughout the house-well,as you know, that's when he's convinced that he made them all disappear, just as he had wished.) Just had to point out that interesting trivia as well.

+MrJamieMurph4141969 Yes, I remember the book saying that Kevin's dad said that they will take airport limos instead of their cars where as soon as Kevin looked outside in his garage seeing their cars he said "the cars are still here they didn't go to the airport?" assuming that the family disappeared and got ready to go on the trip to Paris. However, I didn't remember Kevin seeing messes through the house where the only thing I could remember was after Kevin left the attic early in the morning, he was searching his house wondering where his family was before he thought his wish came true that they would disappear.

I'm still sad that Angel's with Filthy Souls wasn't a real movie

Saw it with my Classmate and his family on Black Friday 1990. And then went again with my family on December 7,1990. It took 30 minutes to get in the theater. Long Lines outside! Home Alone in '90 was a Out of Nowhere Box Office Blockbuster that Clobbered Rocky 5 AND Pummeled Disney's The Rescuers Down Under!

One of the BEST movie scenes EVER. That kid was wise beyond his years.

My favourite film of all time. Literally puts the biggest smile on my face every time. Every year when the Christmas decorations go up I sit with my wife and sons, eat cheese pizza, drink Pepsi and watch this.

This part still makes me drop dead laughing.

Me too and seeing Kevin doing what he did with that pan reminds me so much of the 1985-1991 MacGvyer, there was an episode in season 1 where Mac did exactly that, minus the movie clip, but just to cause a distraction he did something like that.

As far as I understand. That Spider was real. The actor had to only pretend to scream, but without doing noise. To not scare the tarantula. The scream was recorded after.

@@BeruBeruIce Actually it's mentioned in the commentary and in an interview with Daniel Stern that he did scream while the spider was on his face. They originally wanted to use a mechanical one but couldn't make it look real enough. They also thought Daniel's scream would scare it and cause it to bite him but it didn't because spiders are almost deaf. Most don't have ears and instead hear through the hairs on their bodies. Even if it did hear him it wouldn't have been enough to scare it. They told Daniel as long as he didn't make any sudden moves he'd be fine. Daniel said in the interview he got the idea for that scream from an old horror movie.

If Angels With Dirty Souls were a real movie, "keep the change ya filthy animal" would probably be one of the most iconic lines ever!

Speaking of Marv's reactions, I'm just pondering his scream during the pigeon attack in the second one. The first thing that comes to our minds when we listen to his shrill scream is it must have been excruciating when the beaks impaled his flesh. But even before that he seemed to be kind of afraid of the pigeons. I mean think about in the first movie when he was doing a relevant scream when the spider was on his face. It seems that I wasn't screaming because the spider was biting him, but he was scared of it. Maybe the physical pain of the pigeons pecking his flesh must have been a part of his scream and even if they were hurting him physically, he still would have been petrified that he was piled on by a bunch of pigeons

ShadowDancer 😂😂😂😂 I got it, even though I’m too young to remember playing that game, I’m pretty sure it came out shortly before I was born (2002)

It's funny how Kevin did this to both Marv and the Pizza Delivery boy and then in the sequel he does it again to a bunch of hotel idiots who all actually believed what they were hearing was actually happening and they were getting shot at now that was priceless now I only wish they did it again in Home Alone 3 and Home Alone 4.

This is most notably my favorite part in Home Alone ever! I died laughing at the part where the firecrackers started going!

This scene was definitely one of my favourite parts of the movie!

Home Alone came out in 1990 and then in 1992 Home Alone 2 which was when Kevin gets lost in NYC and this movie is still a classic I watched Scrooged and Home Alone and Home Alone 2 every year. X-mas. Good movies. I miss the 90s they had the best movies and everyone was laughing so hard in this movie and my mom couldn't stop laughing...

I’m 22, it came out in 1990 but I’ve been watching it since 02-03 at LEAST! Brilliant film, one of my absolute favorites! If you like this, you’d love Christmas Vacation, Planes Trains and Automobiles, Uncle Buck, The Great Outdoors, National Lampoon’s Vacation. All classics, all written and some directed by John Hughes, same man who wrote this one

Marvs facial expressions in this makes this much funnier.

It is a longtime tradition for me to watch the Home Alone movies every holiday season. 😊

Haha as a kid I never got what he meant when he said “too bad AC ain’t in charge no more. He’s up stairs taking a bath he’ll call you when he gets out!” 😂 meaning he’s already dead 😂😂😂

Kevin has way too much fun with that prank. However that is part of what makes the scene a classic and really fun. Another part is the lines and their delivery

One of the biggest films of all time was literally carried by an 11 year old kid, who was FANTASTIC in the role. Not just cute...Macauley was actually awesome. He never gets enough props for his ACTING...the comedic timing and everything.

I think he skipped ahead to open fire. In another movie I once watched the protagonist was outraged by what one of the managers of an enterprise run by his enemy was in charge of. He stated that he would give the man until the count of twenty to run. The man began running, the protagonist pulled out his gun, said twenty, and fired.

@@hidof9598 Wait a moment, (I snap my fingers) Blade: Trinity, that's the movie I was thinking of with that comment. Thank you for reminding me. I watch a lot of movies and at times I need to make sure I am not mixing up certain details such as the names. I wanted to make sure I knew the name before confirming it. I should have remembered that, one of my friends recommended that one to me. That scene is a powerful one.

I don't know no Snakes. MARV: Snakes! Let's get out of here. HARRY: Hold it. Hold it. Let's wait and see who it is. We work this neighborhood, too. MARV: Yeah? HARRY: Supposing the cops figure us for a job, and they start asking us questions about a murder in the area. Wouldn't it be nice to have a face to go with their questions? MARV: That's a good idea. HARRY: Of course it's a good idea. Snakes! MARV: He sounded like a snake.

Those who watched this film in 2020 realizes that this movie will be 30 years-old.
