@@mattbarker336 It happened to both, they have that in common, apart from "Spaceballs". Rick Moranis and Michael Winslow both (semi-)retired after their wives passed away and they decided to take care of their children first. Great men, both of them.

Saw him once in concert... Could not believe how nice he was! Actually met him after and he is an AWESOME guy!

He is so hilarious, especially when he's trolling other people with his sounds. And recently he was on America got Talent.

Besides being phenomenal at sound effects, he is such an underrated actor.

This video is highly underarred, to think someone had to sit through every single Police Academy movie to find these gems is an incredible achievement, thank you Sir/Madam.

Almost 40 years later and this still cracks me up...!!

I do miss the days of Hollywood making genuine unapologetic comedies.... The Police Academy movies weren't masterpieces and they probably made one or two too many, but there is something to be said for just going for a laugh... and Michael Winslow / Larvell Jones was always just going for a laugh.

That actor was so good at throwing his voice that he threw it into the heart of countless “Police Academy” fans.

His kung fu dubbing thing is one of the funniest sht to me till this day. Every time he does it I just can't stop laughing.

“Damn you. You want to fight, get ready for an ass kicking”. Love how he moves his lips for a few seconds, no sound then you hear talking but no lip movement, just like the Japanese and Chinese martial arts movies that are heavily dubbed with English subtitles.

I went to see him here in Ireland for my 26th birthday, my jaw was on the floor the moment he entered the stage I swear he did the best jimmy Hendrix impression it was absolutely amazing. It was a night I will never forget. Hats off to you Michael Winslow 💜💜💜

He is the real star of the police academy movies, even those who hate the movies will agree he was the best thing about them and keeps you watching just to see what he’ll do next.

This man has sound effects for every occasion! And I never realized just how many.

I once wrote a television commercial for Michael Winslow. The tales he shared during production were outstanding and funny as hell.

The thing is Michael could have been huge but he gave up acting to take care of his family after his wife died so along with being extremely funny he is also a very good man

Mr Jones was such a 90's legend. A real national treasure.

As a kid he was a legend to me. Still is. Hes an awesome Man and A Great Father. I'm sure his children had a great child hood with him thank God for him.

He retired from acting to raise his children after his wife sadly died. While it is perhaps a shame we didn't see more of him, he by far did the right thing for his family.

"Oh, not on brocorri". This and half of the clips here would be deemed unacceptable by the offense police yet the tolerance for hard core violence & sex in film and TV today has no limits. I'm glad I got to grow up in the 80s.

And yet we don't hear anything today about these films from the so called "offense police" even when they're digging up plenty of problematic shit from the past. Porbably because they can see it as it is, a comedy which highlights the racial issues across many backgrounds. i mean ffs there's a scene with hightower and the use of the very bad word. Maybe you're just figuring out that old movies aren't always acceptable by todays standard

it is a miracle he is still alive after the first scene.

I met him before a show a few years ago and he was super nice. I was able to thank him for playing video games with me when I was a kid between takes. It was the weekend when they filmed that golf ball scene in Police Academy 5 and there's lots of downtime as they performed the setup and rehearse the shots. David Graff and Bubba Smith were there playing games with me too. It was the old Palm Beach International airport terminal.
