Capri pizza was great..right over the willimansett bridge..dont miss living there though

I was raised in Holyoke. I live on Jarvis Heights, South Canal St and Lastly on Whitting Farm Rd near the mall. I went to Peck For 6th Grade back in 1994 and Magnet for 7 and 8 and Dean for High School. I worked at the Soldiers Home at the age of 12 all the way until I was out of High School. We moved in 2002. I heard one of my former supervisors Became Mayor for a while. I heard Kmart Closed along with the Sears and CVS next to it and they Still have that Foodmart Location Closed down since the 90s. Kmart plaza I saw on a video it looks all run down and abandoned. We moved right after I graduated High School in 2001. I read that the new school board from this crazy generation merged Holyoke High With Dean, which is crazy. They wiped out our Dean tech legacy. I'm Glad to see Capry Pizza still open after all these decades wow. Do they still do the party size pizza? we got stuffed from those.

That was my building with the tarp from the microburst in 2020 nobody lives there now

From Fitchburg but sold beauty supplies to salons in Holyoke back around 2002 or so. Holyoke reminded me alot of my hometown of Fitchburg but even a little worse :( Both cities seemed to have fallen down the same path as a once thriving city where everyone felt the sense of community and felt part of something. But the jobs left in the 60's and 70's and all that is left now are the memories of the good old days. That being said there are beautiful people in both Fitchburg and Holyoke and lets pray better days are coming for both. And please stay away from the Fetanyl that killing too many people in both these areas

U should pick people who live in that are to comment about the city as u drive

Like Lawrence, Holyoke also appears clean and well kept with only a few rundown old buildings. Streets appear to be in good repair and there were some that were freshly resurfaced with new curbs and sidewalks. Granted it lost its industry but the people living in Holyoke seem to care about their community.

I white-flighted outta that toilet in April of 2007. The place is a lost cause.
