I went to my first mass today!!!! Father Mike Schmitz you are one of the people that helped me learn about the Catholic faith and I just wanted to say thank you! God Bles you Father. I love the convenience and also consistent, straight forward, and meaningful homilies. In many Catholic churches I find that priests ramble, give multiple messages that don't connect, or give boring homilies that don't seem to relate to the readings or, worse, they use Christmas and Easter to chastise people that don't usually attend.

Thanks to God for gifting you with the talent to explain the most complex experiences related in the Bible in simple words that opens our mind, touching our hearts. Father Mike thanks to you for accept be His instrument at time when the Vatican uses his power to persecute and insulated many of the righteous priest that speak out against the wrongdoing we catholic are observing in our church. Thanks for showing us that God uses all of us and every moment of our lives in any role we are performing because he knows the brokenhearted humanity. Praying for you, my local priests and those that were my priest and taught us that God us always present, true and suffered all of of it for each one of us. Wonderful homily Father Mike as well as the singing and mass. Yes, Holy Thursday is full of sadness. The worst of all is that Jesus, too, was sad. About 10 years ago I stopped watching The Ten Commandments every Lent and started watching Passion of Christ. It's a brutal reminder what Jesus endured at the end, for us. It makes me cry every time and reinforce what God did for all of us.

I often spend some holy days and Sunday masses at home, because of illness and various trials and today was one of those days. I had confession but couldn’t make it to church physically for mass, this mass was the only online mass I could truly recollect myself. Thank you and Glory be to God

Lol Eric You should hear the Monsignor and priests at my church sing. Father Mike is fine. I sing louder to help those around me because I was raised with the thought that, if God gave you a bad singing voice, you sing louder so he can hear what he gave you. 😂
