I switched over to cello and gave my violin to a friend from Columbia who has wanted one for a long time and couldn't afford one. I own 2 Cello's one electric and one acoustic. That’s why I keep it dry and didn’t add any effects. I can’t do anything about the natural acoustics of my room, but precisely why I didn’t add as it does take away the tone a little

I know you dont normay do reviews of bows but Holstein has a 1,2, and 3 star bow that would be interesting to see you review that set to go with these violins. Love your reviews like always ☺

When a masterpiece of a violin is just a few hundred dollars more than some of these new folding flip phones, I would agree that it is a GREAT DEAL! Beautiful Violin, and beautiful violinist.

Enjoying your reviews. Just found out that Fiddlerman is just down the street from me about 5 miles away. So I can go visit them after a short ride.That outfit seems like a barrel of monkeys fun to deal with. My orders from them have been painless and easy. When you do buy something at that level, you will get the personal white glove treatment most likely from Mr Fiddlerman himself. He will personally approve or reject the instrument himself. So deal with confidence.

Bows are totally different and you need to try them out. I cant recommend any bows as its all down to feel and weight.

Thank you for the review, I don't suppose these are sold anywhere in the UK? I have bought before from the US and ended up bloodied from tax and transport fees on arrival. Best regards.

I’m a semi professional (advanced player) been playing violin for a while, I play in a community orchestra where there’s 4 concerts held each year and the music we play is at a professional level, such as symphonies, overtures etc. from different classical composers, like Beethoven, Strauss, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Brahms, Schubert etc. to name a few. Anyway. Do you recommend me buying this instrument? I play music as my hobby and I enjoy playing violin, I practice almost every single day. Although I’ve been struggling to find a violin that fits my playing style and my level of experience as well.

Yes I think it’s an advanced violin for sure, but depends on what your style and taste is. For me, although this is a fantastic violin and I stand by my review, it’s not ‘sweet’ enough for me, as that is just what I personally prefer in a violin as I do solo work, not orchestra work. Also depends if you want something to blend in to an orchestra, or something more solo and/or something deeper, stronger, darker etc. I would look at the other violins in this series if this is the level of violin you are after as I was only sent this one for example as a sample of that level of violin one can expect. They have descriptions of them on their website and will tell you whether the tone is sweet, dark etc etc. The Fiddlerman will have more info on this for you than me. Mention me and he will sort you out 😀

The Online Piano & Violin Tutor I usually like mellow tone sounds on violins the one I have right now it’s very sweet to me and sometimes there’s a buzz and hurts my left ear I don’t think that’s a good sign at all. I will do so mention you if I make contact with them and this is also on my price range no higher than that I believe, but I have been buying other violins and end up not liking their sound. So I feel like it’s time for me to try out one of these bench violins from fiddlerman shop. Thanks for the review I actually did liked the sound of it 😁👍

Well done as usual. It might be interesting to play three violins that are the same model. Say, three fiddlerman Soloists or Concerts or whatever. We would hear how much variation there is within a model, if any.

What’s your budget?

Honestly this is not my real type of sound, I like a Warmer sound. This is similar to my actual violin ( well mine is worth 160€, but the brightness is similar ) then I am bout to change it, I watched your tips video and I loved it, definitely I am going to try like 20 violins before buying one.

How would this Plowden bench compare to the MJZ 905? Thanks

I wish I could buy one of your books but I can't the violin is beautiful but we have no money to buy one of your books..

Well it's way out of my reach but I have just bought a 1905 European made violin (probably German) it's much better than todays Chinese violins for the same price. The wood it's made from is amazing, probably better quality than even this Fiddlerman violin. I wonder who bought it 114 years ago and how it has survived intact for all those years.

Hello! Are there any UK stockists? I am considering an upgrade and have looked at ‘comparable’ brands available in the UK but I keep coming back to these beautiful instruments. The 20% import tax makes me want to cry :( TIA Alison.

I keep watching these videos trying to explain the "secret" of the Stradivarius, and most of them completely overlook that one of these modern violins just well may sound magical after three hundred years of playing.

Most of that is nonsense. On blind tests and using computers you can prove that modern violins can and do outperform the supposed "secret" of Stradivarius.

Thank you so much you help me pick the right choice in the master violin from the fiddlershop.Com and I am blown away I still want to try to get entered to win that one violin so after I'm ready to step up it's right there waiting for me that or someone that can really play I Feel when do them in a violin a lot of Justice. Thank you again for all the tips and the reviews of the Fiddler shop and fiddlerman violins and a lot of the accessories the one that came to me is very unique and has that very sweet and unique sound that just resonates so thank you I appreciate it a lot fiddlershop definitely knows I appreciate it because I called him and kept them on the phone for about 45 minutes because they did a awesome job on helping me out but thank you again and I'm sorry about my punctuation my hands are numb but it doesn't stop me from playing and I have to use speech to text because I will break the phone from too much pressure so thank you again.😇💛💫💯
