Cool tutorial. Option click and drag will allow you to copy an asset and move it directly up to a new layer. No need to copy/paste then move it back over and realign it. Also for anyone running into trouble with weird cropping of your asset... you may find using "Distance to Image" for changing the size of the 3D applied asset works better than scaling the whole layer, it just forces uniformity not wanted in this video. "Distance to Image" is what the specular highlight is based off of if you want to use that feature too.
