Both of my bubbles are on a black background even though I changed the transparency of the bubbles themselves, so when I try to put them into a sequence together or add footage behind it, you can only see the one text bubble that is on top. Any suggestions?

Thanks, yes the android pack bubbles automatically resize as you type your text. The time stamp layer can be turned off by hitting the eye icon.

After I export my videos, the text bubbles always end up shifted to the left of where I originally placed them. Anyone know why this might be happening and how to stop it? Currently, I'm just shifting their position further to the right of where they should be and after I export they end up in the correct location, but I feel like there's probably a different solution.

This was wonderful. Thank you. You've made me greedy for knowledge, though lol. I've made bubble 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 and now want to slide the whole chunk of bubbles up the screen to allow a bubble 6 (and so on) to appear, as it happens on a phone. It would look really really cool if I could master it but (1.) I'd like to be able to move them all at once, for convenience and so the spacing stays perfectly uniform, and (2.) when I do attempt to move them separately, I click on bubble 1 and it automatically defaults to bubble 5 so I'm moving that instead, which is frustrating. Could you please explain briefly here or, if it's to in depth, make another video?

Not sure if you're still looking for a response or found out on your own but to make them move all at once, once you drag all bubbles to the same sequence you just have to add start and stop positions (under motion on the effect controls panel) for each bubble and they will roll up off the screen like film credits :)

Amazing tutorial! You wouldn’t happen to know or have a tutorial-follow up for pictures/locations sent and received in this message style, would you?

Hey, unfortunately we only have a paid Template that has images in it. This tutorial is only for text, I like your suggestion though so I look at adding a tutorial to our community list. Thanks

Question: How do you get the 'bubble 1' and 'bubble 2' sequences to appear as single video elements when you drag them onto the 'text message' sequence? When I drag them in, each one appears with all 3 video elements (bubble, bubble text and text above bubble)

My sequence did not merge into one mega object like in this video. When copied or used to another project, I have to toggle all objects in the sequence to move them to desired position. Im so frustrated right now.

Does this work with paragraph? I have 3-4 sentences/text box and I want to have 2-3 text box with animation before they move to another slide/scene. Thanks

For fast results use the bad tv presets in the effects and presets panel built into after effects.

i dont find helvetica neue in my premiere..

The color won't change and still has the black box around it unless I put screen

i know this is really late but i had to change the hue percentage right beneath the other settings he was talking about

Hi! I've read the comments, My scale doesn't change with the text bubble and keyframes (same place as tutorial), and the scale is first is 0, the second is 110 and third is 100 but when I play it, it just stays the same (100) and I cannot work out what is wrong or how to apply the effect! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Update: I tried to do the same thing on my original sequence (different settings) doing the same thing and it worked just fine. Could it be the type of sequence having an effect? Thank you

When doing the scaling fir the text messages the keyframes don't work making the messages stay the same size, help please

HI, Make sure you have hit the stopwatch to record the keyframes so they animate when you create them. Otherwise the keyframes wont do anything when you play through. Hope that helps.

After looking at it closer it looks like it is missing the scroll up effect that I am looking for in this type of template (ex: when a recent text msg pushes an older text msg upwards and away from view). Thanks anyway for the tutorial.

You can use a tint effect will probably work
