Well, IRyS debuted like a week or a month before gen 2, so pretty much at the same time as normally there is at least a year before gens, and well, she partially got adopted to fill the spot Sana left behind.

Fully adopted, they're now known as Holo Promise instead of Council.

I got in a good while before any of the holomems spoke full fluent English, Coco hadn't joined yet for instance. Korone deciding to improve her English and the following memes created a mini industry of KZread channels translating highlights of the holomems a while. Basically the wild west of English Hololive fandom, certainly interesting times.

Actually, they've recently rebranded English gen 2 to Hololive English Promise, and as of that Irys is *officially* considered a gen 2 member!

With Okayu, it was mainly art of her and Korone was video clips of the Mike Tyson thing. A lot of my watching has been clip videos, I've yet to subscribe to any(While there are some I like from each regional branch, I haven't really thought about it much. Indecisiveness might also be at play).

o7 Sana. Sana wasn't a guardian per say, but she was the Speaker of Space. Bae was meant to be the Leader of HoloCouncil. Irys got adopted,the fanname was Councilrys, Sana graduated and they rebranded to Holo Promise. Kronii is the warden of time. Bae is just plain Chaos. Fauna is the keeper of Nature. Mumei is the guardian of civilization. Irys, as her nephilim side represents both angel and demon heritages. She's meant to be a character that embodies hope, but struggles with it when disillusioned by humanity. SuperPonIrys doesn't really seem to represent the light/dark of her lore, but that's kinda standard for vtubers.

Ina and Calli were my favs from EN gen 1. Gura and Ame were too chaotic for me and Kiara varied wildly. Gen 2 meanwhile I don't especially dislike any of them but I only actually stuck around watching Kroni....though that's probably because Sana dropped out. Gen 3 its Nerissa for me though that's not saying a lot since I've been drawing back on how many I actually watch. And now its Elizabeth for the latest gen so far. With Japan I like ALOT of the girls but I can't understand them without subtitles so the only girls I watch anything from are Korone and Aki Rosenthal. Though Suisei and Azki I probably should follow. I like the singing more then gameplay generally while Ina and Sana both filled a chill art stream to listen to niche. I tried the boys as well but Noir Vesper was the only one I stuck with and he dropped out. Hadn't even heard there were 4 more guys added since.
