Another +1 for more Holley tuning videos I'm interested in idle/no boost decel tuning as I'm struggling with the car stalling. Whether it be on deceleration, an in park rev or after letting off the gas from backing the car up, it wants to stall. 160lb Holley injectors, turbos, sbf using the Dominator. In power it seems fine. Anyway, any Holley efi content is a plus! Liked, already subscribed, thumbs up and there's your comment!

Have you tried opening up the throttle body alittle more? If not try this then rest tps you can also look at iac position at idle warm idle it should only be using 15 or less percent then when the car dips coming off of throttle input the iac can catch it

I got a little work done today on it today and the timing at idle was way too high. This took care of the majority of the problems but still needs some more work. Good news is, it hasn't stalled on me since I've lowered the timing. Now that it's much closer I will try to get the iac dialed in a little better. I think the timing was too far off before which was why I wasn't seeing much of a difference adjusting the iac, but that is just my uneducated guess. Thanks for taking the time to respond and willingness to help! This is all very new to me.

The Title was misleading (to me). Viewing Data logs is the same but Terminator X Data Log "Setup ECU Logging" is completely different (can't be done in the software)...

Can you show a video on injector angle how to set up and understanding how it affects how the car runs

Honestly that's a little beyond what I even mess with but as I learn more I will try. I normally dont mess with the injector data since the holley has most set of injectors already in the software

I have a mustang turbo with Holley hp learning myself what’s the best way to tune when you need more fuel up top of rpm range acceleration enrichment any info or tips would be appreciated thanks for any Holley tuning 👍👍👍

how much converter are you running ? i heard you say you were leaving on about 9 lbs , i'm having a little trouble getting the boost up past 3-4 lbs without cooking the trans! i've been playing with timing and sorts ,but i feel pretty much like my converter needs to be loosened up ,just curious. any info helps thanks.

To get mine to leave on around 9 2 step is around 4-4100rpm i have a speced convertor from PTC. Sounds like it might be a bit tight!

Can you do a video on how you look at your data log and show how you tune it as far as fuel map lean or rich I know it sounds simple but I don’t know what I’m look at as far as is it fuel flow ?? I can add fuel yes or take it away burn know what I’m looking at and fine tuning no clue thanks for any help

Find where you release the Tbrake place cursor on that point at the top select the place to set zero time. If i remember right i think its the green arrow!

My terminator x software doesn't have those options on the data log drop-down tab. Any help to figure this out?

You cant trigger the termiX like he showed, his video title shouldn't say terminator. It's only for dominator and HP. 2 ways to trigger a log in termiX clipboard button on the laptop, or the logging button on the 3.5 inch screen

And if you have apple computers?

I only have the top two options available when I hit the datalog button. Any ideas?

So after I got a terminator x and played with one first hand. They don't have on board datalogging.👎 You have two options on a terminator x. Keep your laptop hooked up and toggle on datalogging then save after your done driving/racing. Or you should be able to datalog on the 3.5in screen which will save onto the memory card inside of it then you can pull it and view it. Definitely more of a pain then the HP/Dominator

Build Tune Race Yeah my later research supported that also. Whats extra frustrating is the more expensive 7” dash has LESS features than the included 3.5” when you load the Term x firmware on it; they remove the logging and tuning nodes from the dash.

I don't have any datalogging options when I click on the datalogging menu. Trying to set up a system log this way to diagnose a no start but I have no option to set one up. Am I missing something?

So terminator x doesn't have on board datalogging just learned this with a system i recently installed. You can toggle on data log but you have to use the laptop i guess with the terminator x by clicking the clipboard. What you needing is a system log and im not sure if the terminator x has that option. No rpm signal sounds like you gave a crank sensor issue.

@@BuildTuneRace yeah I eventually figured out I can't do a system log. On the LED lights on the ECU it's showing a blue light for the crank and cam sensor, which if I remember correctly means there's too much of an air gap in the sensor, but I've already changed both of them out with brand new sensors and have the same problem. I can't believe both of them are out of spec, could there be something else in the system causing some fuckery?

What block are you running? Are you using a new factory AC delco sensor? Or one from o'riley/autozone? I've had issues with those missing signal before when they were new it would still start though.

Is termx the same way? Was told u can’t do it like this for termx

Yes you can still setup datalogging in terminator x it might be slightly different but it's similar. I haven't been in a terminator x for a few months so not sure if it is different but o know i have set up and data logged a terminator in a similar way.

I think the datalogging setup is the same on the terminator software but might be wrong I'll have to look at the software again!

I've set up a terminator x before and pretty sure logging is the same. The software is alittle different but most of the things I show transfer over to terminator x as well!

I’m guessing you have a terminator x? Unfortunately that ecu doesn’t have on board data logging and I should probably change the title! Ask me how I leaned this 😂. If you do have a Terminator, I believe data logging is done through the dash (you’ll have to add a memory card) or by leaving the laptop hooked up and toggling data log while driving and saving directly to the laptop
