Amen! I’m just south of you guys by an hour (Floyds Knobs, Indiana) and never knew that such a GEM was hiding in our hills/hollers. It wasn't an offense warning. It was a trigger warning for people who might find it traumatic to see scenes of domestic violence and a teenager bashing his abusive father's head in with a rock and is covered in his blood. I get what you are trying to say, but the situations are completely different.

For me, the most charged moments in the video (really a film) are the actors faces as they scream into the air - some great acting here and a great song also.

I haven't replayed a song over and over again in like 15 years or something.. I think the last time I did that was with Nirvana songs. I am now constantly listening to Holler from the Holler.. over and over.... it is the baddest ass song I've ever heard... the lyrics are absolute poetry.. I love this guy.

much respect for the warning at the start. really shows that he understands how traumatic these experiences can be and while reliving them can be cathartic for some, it can be harmful for others.

Powerful, emotional, and cathartic. There isn't a more interesting songwriter out there right now--with every release I am genuinely compelled to absorb each composition. It's been a long time since I felt like a track wasn't "disposable" and needed to be listened to multiple times. I can't "wear out" your work.

Wish more modern country sang about issues like this. Mainstream Country used to be about exploring tough issues, but hasnt been for the past 20 or so years. I want the genre to go back to its roots of truly being about the everyman experience, including the dark and uncomfortable truths.

No one makes country music even remotely like Stephen Wilson Jr., and that includes his videos. Get ready, this is powerful shit.

Having lived a similar scene with my ex and me eldest, who grabbed a butcher knife and got between us. He yelled to his drunken father to go to bed, and the drunk did. We all got out alive. I have spent my life since then dedicated to helping women escape. I use poetry jo save lives. I can't stop watching this video and Grief. My son who saved me, died in a car accident.

Brutal, beautiful and powerful.

I was kinda quiet as a kid growing up.

As a HellBilly from Deep in a holler who grew up with a single parent, in double wide squaller. This song and video are an emotional Rollercoaster. All I can say is Fuck Yeah Man and Much Love from WV!!!

Had never heard of Stephen until I went to a concert at the Ryman in Nashville and he’s a very powerful songwriter and performer. So moving. So real. I ended up shaking his hand in the back alley as he was departing. Thanking him for touching my soul. His videos are great but by God you need to see and really hear this young man live. I will go again and we shall meet again…..

I legit can't get enough of this song and artist. He's more like a musical scientist. The science behind his music makes every song pull you in and listen to them over and over.

WOW! Tim Cofield brought the pain to life with the video. What a song Stephen. So many out there that can relate to this.
