I live in Europe (currently in Central Europe, before I was living in Southeastern part) and personally, I feel like here people are used to being alone, travelling alone, eating alone, being in a bar alone, walking around town alone, living alone, ... I have witnessed so many people do so and I am doing it myself too. In America, however, I get a sense of everything moving so fast, walking fast, you're pretty much forced to always be surrounded with people and talk to people, you're online 24/7, have to be available at all times and at all costs. It sounds so exhausting... That's why I feel the quality of life in America is lower. You guys can't seem to catch a break and even if you do, it's like you're judged and side-eyed from others... it is kinda sad. But I encourage you to take your life into your hands, take a break when you need to and do it alone, if you feel like it. If you ever feel unease, simply call someone on the phone. Or play some music, listen to podcast. It is going to help you. Being alone is oftentimes in a lot of ways more transformative than being constantly surrounded by people.

Speaking of loneliness: i used to be the one who eats alone at a restaurant and feel horrible because i thought “i’m the only one in the world like this”... but now i don’t feel ashamed or weird

Can you do a video on what helped you with your depression? Or correct me if I am wrong but I remember that you said that you used to take antidepressants and probiotics helped you to get off of them. Could you please talk about some strategies or tipps?

Yes! Probiotics made an immense difference and I was able to wean myself off Lexapro. But last year I had someone stalking me, and my doctor said I was going into a tailspin that I wasn't going to be able to pull out of, so I went on Trintellix. Depression can be like that--one thing kicks it off and then, IDK, it's like you get caught in this mental quicksand. But working out helped a LOT, it was the only time my brain and anxiety shut off, and the endorphins kept me more stabilized for hours after. Really just streamlining my life helped too. I sleep more, I drink a TON of water (that made a huge difference, which I didn't expect, it's like my body didn't have the nutrients or hydration to combat the depression), and I say no to thing way more often. If something is going to give me anxiety, I don't do it. Because small anxious situation will tip into a LARGE anxious fiasco; it's a domino effect. And of course, therapy therapy therapy. Yes meds make a difference, but they work best with therapy so you build that emotional toolbox to cope with things NOT using pills. The body leads the mind. If we're being busy, using cognitive behavioral therapy strategies to stay in control, etc, then our mind is more likely to say "Ok, we're doing this. We're moving in a direction of happiness. Fine." Taking pills but not changing your life, mindset, or habits will only take you so far. Like getting physically healthy; working out is good but you have to eat right too, and vice versa. Same with the mind.

Shallon Lester Thank you for your explicit answer! I am glad you‘re doing better now. I hoped you would not say working out (jokes). But yeah I agree. For me its very hard working out from home. I simply don‘t have the energy. I know it‘s an excuse. But before the lockdown I did muy thai and I was forced to workout for a specific time. At home I can stop the workout whenever I want to. Yes, therapy helped me alot, but it is such a long process. I am doing therapy since 2017 already and sometimes I am wondering, will I ever be happy and mentally healthy? I see progresd but it seems like it will always be this way. (Btw I can‘t believe you really answered lol. Saved my day)

Shadows are Huda Beauty (they're my baes) and lipstick is MAC liner in Soar with NYX butter gloss in fortune cookie or creme brulee over it!

Find ways you can get to know people on more than just a superficial level. I know it's hard during Covid. We all are in same boat, I was engaged last year in Christmas, turn a out my ex fiance was sociopath and he physically abused me in June, so yess I am too alone AF, but its a new adventure and yeah he was my take away card

My late mother was a nurse so she had to work nights, weekends and holidays, I didn't have a closeknit family so even as an adult I've spent holidays alone.
