You forgot the second part of the old exploit where you would switch all the infantry you trained to the motorized division, since it was larger and required more manpower which would get filled as soon as you switched it. So not only would only every sixth or seventh man have a gun, there would be a few guys dragging around wagons with cardboard painted to look like a truck. I'm guessing they still haven't fixed Japan attacking you because you own Indonesia.

I don't think they've fixed the Ichi-Go temporary boosts against China either as a while ago they made it permanent because Japan was having trouble taking China

One of the best hoi4 exploits that I’ve found is actually I think puppets, especially if you’re a small nation anything you can’t core you should puppet, and then request all their troops, because what happens is the enemy will spread their forces out all along the puppets borders, and you can concentrate all your troops and those of your puppets I. One spot to punch through Should work against players too if not as well, since they will have to be constantly afraid of you opening a new front should they take troops away from your puppets

Hey there, very great video! So far I've loved all of them, and you made me understand the game a little better! But I was wondering, could you perhaps do a video on Ethiopia after you drive out the Italians? Because currently the British just annex any area you lead a colonial uprising in instead of leaving the state alone, and they annex it faster than you can get a war justification goal out. And I'm not sure I feel confident enough to take on the British and by extension the allies :P Perhaps another fun video could be another Netherlands one? Cause I've followed your videos that you made long ago there, but, atleast my Netherlands seems to suffer from a bug where changing templates from puppet infantry back into regular infantry just makes them go poof, and Paradox seemingly hasn't picked that up, but maybe a famous youtuber could point their attention at it. For the rest though, great work on your videos and I hope you'll keep making more! Love the little historical facts you put in aswell!

There should be a custodian team for HoI4, like Stellaris.

thank you for the guide! it's the best game of germany i've ever played. the only thing is that i needed to put in a lot more production into fighters, cuz the brits are cheating blighters who cranked out 2000 planes and kept me from paradropping. i had to teleport. but other than that, there were no issues! i even managed to encircle crimea and ukraine in a massive 40 division masterpiece EDIT: Ok, so it turns out, I was the idiot here. after some experimenting, i found out that i was 1 transport plane short from launching the paratroopers. so a slight tweak to this run would be to take some factories off the tactical bombers and put them on transport planes instead. not only will this let you do your funny meme strat for london, but it'll also help in russia to avoid those terrible supply issues later on. plus, let's be real, you're not gonna use tactical bombers, you're gonna use cas.

I kinda want to see Stack try to be Japan in Victoria 3 - if only to see if he gets tormented like Ethiopia.

If they wanna "fix" the anschluss, they should do that you can do that focus only in 1938 like some other mods are doing.

Just imagine if this was possible in real life. Reality is something else when resources are such an issue.

It's good but you could make it even better. Start by immediately justifying on poland FIRST, before ever going down rhineland. The allies will not guarantee it if you justify on poland early before doing anything else, so you can do the other focuses by 4 year plan to empower Germany while you wait, and then immediately (otherwise they might then guarantee it) declare war on Poland once the justification is finished. Once you conquer Poland, you can then bypass rhineland entirely, and still take anschluss without a fight. Following this, you can take Czechoslovakia (i suggest partitioning it with hungary as it will automatically get them into the axis). After this, you can choose to go west against the allies around maginot, or you can actually skip war entirely with the west and solely take down the soviets through anticomintern and antisoviet pact (if you can get finland into it, as war will then trigger in 1940 over the winter war, and you can also call Japan in against the soviets if you previously befriended them.) After all, didn't hitler make it clear in mein kampf that everything he wanted for his lebensraum was in the east and NOT the west?

by the way you dont actually need to build all the naval bombers. you can move your troops though the channel without your fleet out. yes they might get caught but if you send them from multiple ports you will almost 100% get some over. and to cap the UK you dont need that many troops, especially in 38

there's no sense to rush this because when Austria complete it's focus tree you'll recurve a lot more like infrastructure factories and factory slots

I played RT56, and a bunch of crazy stuff happened. However, by 1940 I controlled most of Europe as Germany. I was skillfull in who I declared war on. I only made infantry divs with arty. Then went superior firepower.

While it’s certainly a good tactic, I prefer 71Cloak’s method that gets you Anschluss much earlier.

Ok, I don't own or play HoI4. But I've seen a few content creators play this and modded versions that I think I have some understanding of the game mechanics. So let's get started to see if I understand this situation correctly. As Germany you could previously make a speedrun thpe of play to quickly get the Anschluss done. And to get it you "only" needed around half a million people in uniforms to stand and look as menacingly possible at the Austrian border. And only about one in five people would be standing visibly holding a gun. So the developers decided to fix this. They add a new criteria before you can do this. This new criteria along with the previous one essentially say that you can't field a large quantity of "soldiers" and only let every 5th dude have a gun. But instead they now tell you that you must field an army of 500000 of "soldiers" of which only one out of 12,5 needs to carry a gun. So I guess technically there's an German army now that only fields squads with a single MG-34 or MG-42 and no other firearms. The rest of them essentially carry the barrel replacements, ammo and maintenance kits for this gun. Hmm technically that half gun might be one pistol. Probably a prop Luger for propaganda purposes. Something tells me that QA didn't do their job for this patch. Or a bunch of people did not check the math beforehand.

The game actually counts 10 guns as 1 unit of "infantry equipment". So 40 thousands infantry equipment equals to 400 thousands guns.

Yeah, the real advantage Germany had was superior organization (everything else was good too, but the organization allowed them to more fully utilize their advantages, while taking advantage of their enemies weaknesses.)

@@dark_fire_ice I don't say the French army of 1940 was effective against Germany, just that the French army was bigger and consider as powerfull as the german one at least, some german generals even think that invade France was crazy (the french army was in the 30s consider the best in the world, and Germany even try to do peace talk after the fall of Poland. The turning point was Dunkerque, where the allies surrender a big bunch of their equipment. It is not realistic to make France fall that easily in every game without any pocket to weaker them.

​​@@imperiumgallicum What does make Germany strong in HOI4 then? I keep seeing people say that Germany is overpowered, but never what is overpowered. I believe Germany is fine as is, their Economy is massive, which is not outlandish, as even today Germany easily surpasses the UK and France, even keeping in mind they lost the important industrial regions of Silesia as well as Austria. Germany had superior tactics (in the beginning of the war), superior technology (at least actually used technology) their units were on performance enhancing drugs in the Schlieffen-Plan and Germany greatly profitted off of Looting and tapping into the Resources of occupied Territories. Any Player that knows how to actually play the game can hold as France, what he did in this video you can do as France just as much, you even have an easier time crossing the channel if you'd wish.

@@niku4154 they get a bunch of factories and a really good focus tree. The problem is that the Germany of the game is to powerful compare to the real Germany. If know well the game, you can easily handle Germany, but actually the Axis shall be less powerful and more challenging to play than they are in the game. The main problem is that Paradox want sometimes the Allies and sometimes the Axis to win and they weaker France to make them fall before Barbarossa, for allowing Germany to be powerfull enought to sometimes win even if the USA join the Allies.

I never understood why people rushed Anschluß... I much rather like Austria building up so i get myself some new divisions and more factories than before.... And i lose nothing! Edit: Ok so. I made the comment at the start of the Video. Im at the end, and i now understand. I guess imma have to go do it once!

Hi, i watched the full video. i thought the video was about the exploit where you dont need equipment for your forces to annex austria, and how its still "alive" How is it still alive if now you Just make the divisions as intended? Isnt that Just playing the game? ;) (kinda naughtly misleading if you ask me :) )

@@archapmangcmg Maybe I missed it, but I rewatched the video, and I dont see any troops being deployed without (alsmost) full equipment, and I dont see any changes in loadout of the units. When is he doing this? I mean, its a good video, but there is (in my opinion) a big difference between the manpower exploit from before, and what he is doing now (just war rushing as Germany ;) ) (normally I dont mind, but seeing as this makes the thumbnail and title very clickbaity, I wanted to atleast comment on it) :)
