I find the most consistent method for winning the Spanish Civil War for the Republic as the USSR is to send tanks and air, then try to punch through a major encirclement of the Nationalists in the south near Seville. It's usually where the Army of Africa units land so if you can act quickly enough and corral them in the south, it will even out the numbers enough to compensate for the Republic AI being braindead.

I mean you can say whatever you want about Stalin but the fact remains the same: good or bad, USSR under Stalin was the reason Hitler was defeated. Stalin united people, built USSR into industrial powerhouse, and conducted very smart politics to avoid another war (as Churchill wanted) immediately after WWII. I find it ironic when westerners talk about Russians killing Russians in labor camps while their countries literally colonized, enslaved, and literally committed genocide (as in USA's case). Can you guys even see through the unicorns and rainbows over there? 😂

Yeah a lot of Westerners ignore the good Stalin did for the bad, simultaneously ignoring the bad UK and America did and focusing on the good. It's almost like USA didn't drop two atomic bombs or Churchill didn't order the genocide through starvation on the Indian people. Also forgetting the fact that America killed all of the Native Americans or Britain had an empire built on slavery (I'm British btw before people accuse me of being a Russian bot lol). Yes Stalin = Bad, but it's not like the rest of the world were any better, it's just they teach in our schools that the bad stuff we did was justified.

​@@sameerdodgerIt's not really like that. Everyone was a colonial empire with the violence that entails. Western attitudes to Stalin specifically came about for specific reasons. Diplomacy was difficult. Refugees were pouring out of Russia and some of what they said was true. Stalin had spies in the British foreign office and when it came out it made people very paranoid. Then the unwarranted wars were disturbing as well.

Couple of things. Stalin and Churchill approved of using the A bomb. It was an allied decision. No Churchill did not order Indians to starve. That is a political myth.

Do you think you could do a video on General James M Gavin? Nicknamed 'Jump'n Jim Gavin' or 'The Jumping General' he was one of the last modern generals to insist on being directly in combat with his men. He also taught his men to go to hand to hand combat as quickly as possible and as often as possible since the German soldiers were almost never trained in hand to hand and tended to panic when attacked in that manner. He was a pretty great leader and soldier.

Today I have finished my most successful playthrough, I have brought back the Kaiser as Germany, traded Danzig for guarantees, got Sweden, Italy, and a lot of the USSR, I did ally with Britain via some focus tree stuff, but my most successful playthrough all on Iron Man mode

Soviets have precisely 2 mountaineer divisions and Ethiopia has many mountain tiles, including all those where their victory points and connection to french trade are😅

Feel better i had a very bad case of bronchitis last November last year.

Did same thing with rushing early the Center path, but eliminated Chang Kaishi. It allowed me to meddle in Asia and betray and annex Mongolia when it tried to take Mengjiang on its own, as well as integrate, puppet and convoy-annex Xinjiang. Meanwhile I took Poland by myself early and left it alive in one state. Giving Danzig to independent (it's important! not puppet!) Kashubia. That messed up Germany's foci and it went to war with Japan instead. All three factions (Allies Axis Japan) were at war with each other meanwhile I got rid of debuffs and building stuff. Now they knocked on my door because of some silly Portugal focus about 'battle against communism'. Fun stuff!

I had yet another evening ruined wasting time trying to play this game lol. I decided to try turning Russia Romanov again. I succeeded, with the help of no less than Germany and Italy. Had to redeploy from all over the place to stuff the invasion from Latvia and Lithuania, and tried to restore the breakaway states. I don't know what happened there but none even gave me the option except the Ukraine which I had to go get with a war. With Far East Army redeploying from the Japanese border, and pretty much all I had left, it took a while but I threw them back out of southern Russia, took Crimea and conquered about 90% of the Ukraine including Kiev in short order after they arrived. I paused, checked, I was still only 40% toward victory. I thought, "Heck I'm going to have to take every square inch of the place." Unpaused...and they joined the Allies, which wasn't a thing actually there was no actual alliance in existence. Until that moment in time. Now I'm at war with the entire effing planet. Not AGAIN! The developers of this game are the most goofy group of people who have no concept of how the world works, and have wrecked more than 9/10s of my campaigns with crap like that.

The last 70 years of the Soviet Union were horrible and even worse in Poland, fuck Stalinism. It was only good during 1917 to 1920 before Stalin turned it into a heavy bureaucracy and abandoning everything Lenin, Marx and Trotskij stood for, we in Revolution try to uphold the true values of Marxism and Bolshevism. Sorry for commenting 4 months late and under a HOI4 video
