I did it last week. God was it awful, took me 3 or 4 runs to actually pull it off.

as an iraqi, i find this video as an absolute win

My advice. Save your sanity. DO NOT DO achievement runs. You will save your sanity. I did them all. It was not worth it.

Ironman runs aren't worth it in general. Especially in a game that is made of spaghetti code and becomes unplayable in five or six years.

You can really cheese things in civil wars because the AI gets their own brand new base focus tree meaning you can effectively double your economy if you just don't kill the revolter AI in their capital until they did their economy focuses which you then get cores on and get to enjoy

Yeah they should let you at least let you form the nation you want after getting one of it's important parts so you can take the rest of your cores, like letting you form Achaemenid empire after taking iraq or Afghanistan, Rome after getting France Arabia after getting saudi etc

I think Iran might be the better pick in terms of resources, population, and especially leader bonuses. The fascist leader there has some spicy bonuses. Another bonus is because it borders the USSR, you can get multiple events about countering communism, which each grant +10% fascism support. Forming the Persian Empire requires fewer territories as well, but Turkey is one of them which means lots of pain and potentially war with the entire world. Afghanistan is also a pain in the ass to conquer, but mountaineer brigades with logistics company should handle that.
