I've made bug reports for most of these already, so I suppose this is a bug report video megamix. I have talked with people about doing something like this for a while, and I had intended to do this last week tbh. But hey better late than never, it's done now. Next step is just waiting and hoping that Paradox does fixes these things.

Return democracy to the party has now been fixed for Right Path of USSR!

There's quite a bit of unreleased content in the Mexican focus tree if you want to make another video, one such case is Juan Andreu, a far right politician according to the game files. I believe he got an event added which makes him always complain about his loss in the election, even though you can't elect him. He even has his own trait, "The Silver President", because of the fact he became extremely wealthy in Mexico because he owned silver mines. another leader which was suppose to be in the Mexican tree was Nicolás Rodríguez Carrasco, the real life leader of the gold shirts and would become leader if you chose the Revanchist Revolution path. He was mentioned in the dev diaries along with "Tomás Garrido Canabal". Also most of the portraits for mexico don't actually work.

They also finally have an actual portrait they can steal from Wikipedia so I think they have to add him in

Also you can invite bulgaria even if you are at war with them in the Turkey's glitch

This happens because Paradox never playtests anything. They dont have Q&A. Their devs are supposed to dish out content like a gold defecating donkey. This all could have been fixed pre-release of any DLC.

I never realized they changed the Union of Britain flag. I was expecting the awful default paradox communist flag with the union jack and the hammer and sickle plastered in the center.

My favorite was the SAF communist one that still used the dutch flag but they changed it to a Zulu flag

Here's a funny one. Puppeted Bulgaria as The Ottomans, got them stolen by Romania via their focus, then THEY lost it when Italy went Italy first. Migraine.

Why do you highlight Arabia and not say the Persian Empire right next door.?

By far the worst for me is the negative national spirits for the USSR Opposition you are literally incapable of getting rid of for no reason whatsoever. Whenever I play any opposition path, I dread the moment I get one of those purge events that gives me those permanent spirits. I absolutely hate that something that's already heavily RNG dependent is compounded with things that can permanently affect not just who's available in your government or armed forces, but your entire country as a whole.

5 bugs I found. 1- While playing Italy in 1936 when you are at war with Ethiopia if you release Somalia and Eritrea it will trigger the event that you did not gain north and south Ethiopia because these place are own by your puppets. 2- While playing Swiss when you elect a president you have to choose a new councilor, but when at this moment you can change two of them if you click dismiss one and change for a new one. 3- While playing Ethiopia, if you are at war with a nation that have a core in Africa and you make an uprising the country will be liberate and it will fight you instead of joining you. 4- If you lose against, but they did not annex all of your lands you lose all your troops, all your spies and you can't go further in your national focus three. 5- Playing as Italy. if you give a part of Ethiopia for each tribal chief you can still make a puppet out of it and losing all of what you made.

10:25 WHAT? That is waaayyy to OP! Straight up removing their Cores?!

You know, most of these problems are probably simple syntax errors, and a modder could prob do it

Perhaps, but this doesn't take into account reality, the devs can fix all of them, but if they just fixed bugs they'd probably get fired. For want of a better term they have to do as they're told. I'm tired of people forgetting this fact, can a modder do better? Sure they probably can. But a modder generally is doing it for themselves and doesn't deal with everything else that game development entails.

Maybe if paradox had a bigger development team for hoi4 instead of it being like 5 people focused on dishing out content. It's seriously baffling how they treat their most popular game and then act like they are some sort of indie company and not a multi-million studio.

Huh, I used to think doing lessons of war removed those bad national spirits from the USSR.

It's supposed to give you decisions to remove them, but the decision category is blocked if you've gone down an opposition path. The civil war used to remove them but apparently no longer does, but even before BBA it was a problem for the bloodless coup version of the Right Opposition.

I just noticed they changed the Union of Britain and Fascist Greece flags and they look awesome. Imagine if Paradox updated more flags. Small details, but really adds to the gameplay

One of the biggest is when you want to do a Monarchist Netherlands campaign with the central powers, you cant even join monarchist germany. it feels kind of pointless to make the wilhelmism focus to join the germans.

Most existing focuses and events from pre-BFB that give you a tank, aircraft, or ship or an unlock for them, now give you generic versions in the same ruleset as before. So for example, you might get planes or tanks with all the modules, you get tanks and planes that have the four increasable attributes

Not only that we can't choose Kerensky after finishing the "Return the Democracy to the Party" focus tree, but Kerensky itself has no portrait of himself. Instead just a generic portrait of Vladimir Komarov, a Soviet cosmonaut who's tragically met his terrible fate in 1967, may he Rest in Peace. But yeah, that's what I meant.

Why would Kerensky take part in the communist party elections?

1. Turkey's factions. Functionally the same bug used to happen all the time to Italy, in games where Hungary would form the Pact of Rome but then Italy would just completely renege on it with Italy First. Ultimately it comes down to the faction formation script overriding any other diplomatic state of affairs up to and including puppet status. I'm not sure bypasses on these focuses are necessarily the best fix, but they definitely need more robust conditions (they all use generic events too, which causes other problems). 2. Right Opposition generic leader. The script does attempt to promote any general who hasn't been swayed by Stalin (probably don't need that line, come to think, as at this point in the script the civil war will have already fired and all Stalinist generals will be gone), and the tooltip reflects this, so I don't think the problem is strictly speaking the fact that they don't have the Bukharinist trait, I think it's some problem with the else statement or maybe the character scope (character scope is weird - this is also to blame for the paranoia bug you pointed out in a recent video) 3. NPTO. This just sends out an event with a completely fake tooltip. I honestly have no idea what was the intention here. Other events in the chain pingpong off each other so that the Latin American country gets the "join faction" effect and Russia gets an event informing them that the country joined their faction (complete with fake tooltip to this effect) so maybe an inattentive dev assumed that the political influence event was just an information event as well. But even this doesn't make much sense because it's this event which is fired for the Latin American countries so it's the only place the national spirit could be added.

one glitch I know is that if you go into a game as egypt and then back out of the game and go back in the game you end up playing as UK.

I find it funny that Horthy’s (non-aligned) Hungary has elections, but the democratic Hungary doesn’t

Bulgaria has this annoying bug in which at some point (its random I think) a general with 4 of defense will just dissapear, it's always the same guy and there's no event or focus to vanish him. Even If hes leading your armies or you have him as an advisor he will leave. Now for some reason If you reload the game before he leaves he stays the rest of the game but for that you need to pay attention I guess. Also, sometimes you don't get a reply once you send an ultimatum, this also gets "fixed" If you reload the game and send it again.

Weird exploits with no that much relevance 3 days to get patched Puppets changing sides or stealing your territory Nevermind

I hate that , when playing as Brazil, it doesn't matter what you do, you can go communist be 100% communist support but if Portugal does that one focus I'm now stuck Fachist or Monarchist when I had 0 support for either.....

as ethiopia if italy has a civil war (which happens if you hold as ethiopia usually) italy can just puppet you even if they dont own you through the The Ethiopian Question focus

in my game poland has no national spirits at the start, so i cant do the peasent strike, but that just may be me.

Doesn't the decision to loosen prohibitions appear for the Right Oposition? There is usually a decision that loosens the prohibitions which triggers about 2 years after you get rid of the paranoia mechanic on the central line. I've noticed it appearing even on the monarchy path as well. I never played the left or right opposition to check.

Sort of, them stealing your land is still a thing from what I know.

I just bought this game and None of my map will show any color. Plus I can't see any country's flag including my own. Do you know of any fixes for this? I tried Uninstall and reload. I tried validating the files. I even deleted everything manually before reinstalling. Still no colors. Please help if you can I just want to enjoy My new game....
