I've never had a failure in my HK 45. It eats any ammo reliably. Love it but I love my HK USP full-size more.

Dang I have a USP9 LEM mod. I have been deciding between an HK45 tactical and a USP45 tactical :/ . No clue what to do

@@Ohnyet you will man, I ain't kidding, I can't stress it enough that this gun is a total piece of crap, I bought one 2 years ago, the day when I got promoted to attending physician, I picked it up for 1120.... I didn't shoot it for about 5 months bcz of the corona lockdown, the first time I took it to range, the slide just went flying and the trigger broke, it wasn't caused by ammo( American eagle probably), when I contacted fn's customer care, they literally backfired...... And the gun felt really cheap too....... The trigger system of this gun is really complex.......

I didn’t know you had a T-Rex, awesome!! Totally awesome!! I just ordered the FN in black for my osprey 45..

I have the FNX 45 and it’s the best 45 I’ve ever had! I have large hands and the grip is great, shoots smooth, my mags come straight out, and the grouping is great! Wouldn’t trade it for anything

Me too, I ran into a deal and got three of them and modified them, one is just like it came for the factory. One I set up for the .45 SUPER, and one is set up for the .46 Rowland. Oh, also picked up a twenty round magazine. Mine are all in tactical black instead of fifty shades of FDE. I know that FNH claims the guns aren't rated for .45 SUPER but they put the .45 Rowland in it ans there are no issues., so?

I just ordered an FNX 45 Tac. HK and FN both produce proven reliable products and have police and military contracts. There is no wrong choice. I just picked the one that fits me ,and I like it's feature set.

HK45 is a beast. Built like a tank and reliable as the day is long. I like the FN but would NEVER trade my HK45 for one.

@@darksidejustice1556 paddle release, 2x as fast to reload, i have a fnx 45 also, for the cost, feels cheap, safety is really cheaply made. Hk is just higher quality, and will run longer, and more reliable in bad conditions thats just a fact. Sorry if your butt hurt. If they built this as good as the 509 it would be real close , but they didnt, sooooo ya. For a extra 600 bucks you get 2 more rounds , not worth it if you have to pick either or. I own and shoot both .

Both excellent choices!

I actually did a ton of research before buying the FN. HK is hard to beat. That said, the FN has a better trigger, greater capacity and is made in the USA.

If I’m buying a European gun, I want it made in Europe.

While HK45 doesn't say you can shoot .45 super specifically, it does say you can shoot +p+ ammo...which I believe means .45 super since it's the next step from +p ammo.

Great video Chuke! I have a H&K P30SK with the LIGHT LEM trigger. It is a little different than the SA trigger on my USP Compact as to how it feels when it breaks but easily learned. Try it, you'll like it! I guarantee it!

I have the FNP45 and I really wanted to hate it when I first purchased it as I am just not a fan of plastic guns. That being said, I like it more and more every time I take it out. I consider the FN's to be the ultimate combat .45's - which is high praise for me being a 1911 guy.

I converted my FNX to .460 Rowland! Still carry the .454 in the Bear Woods because i havent yet found a holster that fits the fnx with a compensator! it is only $250 for the .460 upgrade since you only have to send them your slide and barrel and they dont have to do that much work on it, it is pretty awesome having 15 rounds of .460 at your disposal

I got the exact same . 45 fnx and I haven't had a problem with the mag dropping all the way out. I'm sure you know more than I'll ever know about guns I just thought I'd share that I had no problems

Zero mag drop problems with my FNX 45 tac. Normally an HK guy but I sold my USP 45 to get it. All the things I wanted to do to my USP already in the FN package.

so you're going to buy the gun which is more expensive to begin with, then spend more on a conversion to shoot more expensive ammo that's harder to find. no thanks I would rather just buy the hk45 which is cheaper to begin with and can get me a big heavy bullet that rivals 10mm speeds without having to do any modifications!!!

I went FNX..HK mag release hit the tip of my trigger finger..15 rds, yes.

I like both brands, however, the HK45 definitely is much more comfortable in hand, versus the stippling on the FNX. I have shot .45 Super through my HK45, Underwood 255GR Hardcast and it did it fine. I also did the same with my HK45C and it managed but I don't think I would do it again, not the same as the HK45. Overall, I don't think you could get a better rounded out .45 ACP pistol. I have the LEM version and I love it, I bought a threaded barrel for mine, haven't used it yet as I do like the original length, but if I was playing in the woods and wanted a slight ballistic advantage I would use it. The plus for sure is these pistols have many configurations, plus the HK45 is an evolution of the HK USP which I own but I prefer the HK45 variant to a USP. 11 rounds is better than 8 and truthfully .45 ACP isn't light especially at 230 gr or heavier, so why do I need 4 more rounds and more importantly a vastly thicker grip?

The FNX isn't super comfy but more rounds is definitely nothing to sneeze at. If you disagree, please state your logic why more rounds are not important.

I love my FNX. I BET YOU feel in love with it first shot. that HK doesn't hold up anymore huh

The fn holds 3 more rounds than the USP . The USP will outlast any pistol period . Not even close .

Yeah how about the fn 545? That’s one I’ve got my eye on. I’m also thinking for ccw just go 9mm and forget 45. For full size kickass fun go 45acp. It’s a tough call to have no da/sa though I’ve never had a striker fired. Not sure

I like the trigger on the fnx, that squishy trigger on the hk45c at the range just really filled me with pissitivity Long and steady, but I couldn't find the dang wall so the break was a guess Plan on doing a 460 rowland conversion on whatever I end up going with. Right now single action and 15rd capacity has me willing to sacrifice the legendary reliability for something merely great. But this is going to be my main edc. Full size isn't an issue, being prepared for anything and having options is

Ain't that the truth. No matter how much you tell the FN Fanboys about the inherent flaws of the FNX they still think its the best pistol. Like how in cold weather mags don't always drop free. And how the slide release is tiny and easy to miss compared to the USP.

I have to toss my vote for the hk45 it is so durable and reliable the capacity is not a huge issue to me as the hk is so accurate I'm sure the fn is sweet I just got my hands on the hk first

That’s so backwards dude, I can tell you’ve never owned or shot either of these handguns lolol. The HK45 was literally made for war and an improvement over the usp and is made out of the best materials available, it has an amazing trigger pull in both da/sa, it’s surgical accurate for a handgun and will run forever and never fail, while the FNX is a made of cheap flimsy polymer and has a trigger that turns to mush after a couple hundred rounds and isn’t as accurate or as reliable as the HK, I own many HK handguns and a couple rifles, I also own a few FN handguns and rifles I owned the FNX for a few months and had nothing but problems out of it and when I asked some friends they told me the same so it got sold.

I concur, *all HK's are made for war.* FN appeals more to their audience (call of duty larpers). *FN is good, no doubt, but it's no HK.*

A lot of pistols don't have the mag drop free when loaded. It's part of the design. Firearms 101 man. Metal mags often have a little expansion with rounds in it.

I pick 1911-my FN tactical cracked along the seam of the trigger guard shooting 45 super stuff-my 1911 does Rowland level regularly-never looking back

I like the FN BETTER but the HK CAN shoot .45 Super out of the box

Owning both , i can say for a fact this fnx is made so cheap, the feel and slide finish for the cost is a joke. It shoots nice but overall not worth the price even with the mag capacity. Im just glad i only bought the non tactical model. Hk quality , and reliability all the way hands down.

Am I the only one that is tired of Alaskan Ballistics’ attitude? He always talks shit on Chuke and has smart ass comments to say. He also acts like he knows shit about “ballistics” but I find myself rolling my eyes whenever he tries to be the authority on the subject.

HK is the only company that puts the use of +p+ as ok in print!!! also there are he's with 300k rd service lives!!! FN will NEVER NEVER NEVER, do that!!!
