First thing I did after hearing the intro riff tone was check if this video was posted on April 1st.
I really like this series! But…I don‘t think that‘s his tone: the autowah-effect is way more subtle imo. Also the tone-knob should be all the way down

True, but the tone knob thing didn't really work there. But I do agree that the effect should be more subtle. Thanks for your input 🤗//G
Thank you for this awesome tutorial!!!
Pretty good start to get that tone from the studio album. Tone knob should absolutely be rolled almost all the way if not all of the way off. And that last little slide from fret 7-9 should really just be a bend on the 7th fret bending up. Just my opinion.

It’s definitely supposed to be a subtle bend, that’s how John Mayer plays it.
Great stuff!. How's about hols as love... The hendrix version not the mayer one! 😁
Finally!!❤️
Yeah, with a tab sheet! Would love to get it as pdf! ;-)
It seems a bit sharp, bright and too sensitive on the envelope. Need to round it out by turning tone knob all the way down, go to neck only, a slight bit of distortion for warmth and a much lighter touch on the attack!
Sunspots by Julian Cope?
I enjoyed that. Not having an autowah, can you play it just with drive & wah?

Hendrix's Voodoo Chile ( the blues version with Steve Winwood on Hammond) I think it's in D standard, with a litlle Fuzz & Univibe.
There is no octave effect on this tone

Juan mayor? Who is this artist? 🤣

it's Pia's obnoxious brother
it’s a electro harmonix pedal
Tough crowd. The envelope filter simply needs to dialed back so it doesn’t ever quite ‘roll over’ that ‘wah’ hump. Tho, John’s almost always playing this with the rhythm guitar that is in perfect syncopated rhythm diluting the lead.
I'm sorry but this tone is wayyy off... Not even close.
Oh my. Not even close to the tone on the record. Also double check that riff please
Sorry but not even close
Totally wrong gear and wrong tone 😂
Dude, not even close. Put some effort into it.
