Lesson: I Don't Trust Myself Loop Cover
Музыка
Jump to 4:05 if you want to skip me demonstrating the whole thing and get straight to the tutorial.
This is not the best tutorial for absolute beginners, you'll need to have a decent amount of major/minor scale knowledge to make sense of some of this stuff. This is also not a tutorial on how to play the song as it's heard off the record. This is a tutorial of how to play my loop cover which is arranged for a looper and in a different key.
All that said, I hope you get something out of it! I really enjoyed seeing all of your Redbone loop covers on Instagram, I'm looking forward to seeing what y'all can do with this.
Cheers!

Hey everybody! This is a long one and you'll get the most out of it if you can sit down with your guitar and follow along. If you want to see the original loop video I made, here's the link. kzread.info/dash/bejne/eH14kpagZdzJYZM.html

Dude you made a tutorial about your awesome cover? Man what a time to live in. Thanks so much man. So much awesomeness for everybody.
I don't have an electric guitar, nor do I have a looper. But I watch this anyway 'cause your covers are the shit.

same AFFF. ive been wanting one for so long. but i always tell myself that if i'm not bomb at acoustic, I'd probably also be trash at electric....

Andrew Carrillo electrics are great to learn on, don’t have to press down on the strings as hard as you have to with acoustics. Easier for barre chords and any riffs down at the 12th - 18th fret.

These are the videos that convinced me to get one once I could. Don't be afraid to try it if you can afford it and there a lot of low budget ways now. His covers are simple lines most people can play, but layered. Then you just practice practice to improve your tone!
Dude, I'm really loving this tutorial. Just by this explanation I'm learning a lot of different things that I had not noticed about guitar playing before. Keep it up!
mannnnn, after listening to this so millions of times i can finally learn to play it. Absolutley love your music, keep it up!
Sean great to see you more on here and taking the time to break these tunes down ... Amazing👍🎸
AWESOME! It was like picking your brain on how you do things.I could ask you a million questions about your choice of voicings, key change, scale placement, etc. Please keep making these!
Thank you very much! Can't wait for "Time after time", that interpretation really gets me inspired all the time! Hope you come up with more masterpieces like that! Cheers!
Hearing you play this transports me to a happier place. Thanks for the cover an the tutorial, dude.

@@seananguswatson No problem man, I subbed for more. I was wondering if you could give me some advice in terms of how I can continue making improvements and getting better at guitar. I've started to mess around with my loop pedal, I've gotten pretty good at building up songs like Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac and playing the solo over it with good accuracy, as well as this song you're doing in this video just a dumbed down version. I definitely have music in my blood, I can usually play along with things I'm hearing, so finding rhythm isn't really my problem. I just don't know what move to make next to continue. I was wondering if you ever experienced this sort of "creative barrier" when you were learning and if you figured out a way past it. Should I just keep watching KZread tutorials like this one and pick up small things each time and grow/improve that way? I'd appreciate any feedback because I love your style of playing.

eXT_Innocence that creative barrier is a totally natural part of getting better, sometimes I feel like i’m just going from plateau to plateau. In my opinion the best thing you can do is find a good local teacher to do consistent in person lessons with. I wouldn’t be half the guitar player I am if it weren’t for a handful of great teachers and the years I spent with them.
This sounds great man....thanks
Thank you very much for sharing this lesson for free! You sound so amazing! I am doin a cover on this ur cover :D
I totally respect you. Amazing

I own the same faded sg, but with original pups. Now I'm really considering switching to p90 and fingerpicking) Greetings from snowy Russia
Such a massive fan, more than happy to become a patreon. I got one request though, you gotta share your tone dude, so many people are asking for it. I think it's saturation maybe, that warms it up? Maybe a hint of tape warble type effect? Thanks man

Hi Sean, this is such a cool video and I loved the cover video you did originally, I jammed over it countless times. I was just wondering, your Laney amp. Do you just plug into that and a loop pedal, or use any thing else for a speaker and pedals. cheers

Perfect tutorial! I'm curious though, why do you always prefer to cover songs in a different key?
Your shit is dope, man. Any insight on how you settled into this soft fingerpicking style? Thanks for all the videos.

he usually drops them halftone step so i think he uses heavy strings .. maybe 11s
can't get the rhythm of the initial chords completely like yours as you didn't really go into detail but the rest of the tutorial was amazing
美しい音
bro please tell me about your tone you have a laney something head unit I believe and is that all its plugged into? no effects? sounds awesome thank you.
this shit is so awesome..can't give thanks enough for making a tutorial...it's prob gonna take me quite a while to get this down clean, and i'm going to need to buy a pedal ,but this is my main goal right now and when I get it done i'll tag you on ig if you have one!
Which SG model is that? Looks like a Tribute and sounds amazing? Tabs? Will provide to Patreon lol. I'm a numerical visual learner
Awesome! What loop setup do you have/recommend?

he uses a Ditto X2
How the heck do you do the hammer on at 7:11. Holding the rest of the chord almost immobilizes the finger used to hammer on. I can get it, but it's so awkward.
Anyone knows what Gibson SG model is that and what is the release year?
