Sean Angus Watson - Running (Official Video)

The official recording video of my song "Running" off my fourth album. Find it on Spotify, Apple Music and all the other places!
Here's a tune I wrote today :) Key of A. Chords are D - F# m - E with a little Bm to A turn around after the second rep. It's all live-looped except for a bit of bass I overdubbed after the fact.
I looped this with the little TC Electronic Ditto and played into a Laney L5 Studio. Recorded it into Ableton Live 10 and sweetened things up with some compression, saturation and reverb. Check this video out if you're interested in the specifics/details of my tone. • Ableton Live 10 // Ton...
This tune and a few others I've posted here will be on my next project which should be out by the end of the year! If you haven't already, check out my first two albums :)

Cheers!

best part is 3:53 when you just have to sit back and marvel at the creation you've made. I imagine this is the thing of sculptures, painters, creators, when they realize they've stumbled upon the right combination of moves and articulations to not create... but to discover. your sound is unmatched Sean, and by the comments I'm reading, I'm just echoing everyone else's thoughts as well. I love it man. Keep going!

Starting at 2:14 onward is my favorite. You can see the creeping smiles break through in realization of what he's created. Creation is life's ultimate beauty. No other beauty can match the feeling of seeing a painting that strikes a memory, the sight of a newborn baby bringing tears of joy, or the sound of notes echoing through skin leaving bumps and standing hairs in their wake.

Adrian Gonzalez ..how true Adrian!..someone said that the greatest creators are explorers, always searching and looking forward, like Miles Davis..that’s why we have to stay strong and keep exploring..Sean Angus is discovering that right here... I try to listen to all explorers and it’s worth every moment you put into it for sure, non artists find this hard to understand though..cheers and vibes

You should check out his Patreon! He teaches a lot of his original songs in teaching theory. Plus he posts some GREAT unreleased music there, one of my favorites being a John Mayer - Gravity practice session. But for real, He’s already boosted my playing up a notch and I’ve only been a patron for about a month. I’m excited to see what he had coming for the new month.

Dear friend, I am serious when I say this (I am 54, a teacher, have two university degrees and an MA in the Science of Literature ...) to me You are not only an inspiration, but I haven't had one recently, even close to that. It's true I would exaggerate if I would compare You to my greatest inspirations of all time: Mike Oldfield, Robert Fripp, R.M. Točak, Jeff Beck, Bill Conors, Pat Metheny, John McLaughlin, Tommy Emmanuel ... or maybe to some younger masters of this instrument I appreciate: Calum Graham, Jon Gomm, Daniel Padim, Luca Stricagnoli, Alexandr Misko ... But You are simply my favorite :) You have such a BALANCED APPROACH and such an attractive PLEASING SOFT TONE, that everything else just fades ... and among the artists I have listed are mostly those with a SOFT APPROACH & TONE! Please keep up and do not be distracted by the dangers of this modern world, verily manifested in the BEAST called the MUSIC INDUSTRY. Your friend ;)
