Whenever there is a debate on likeliness can we try and put a side by side image of the actor with the same or similar expression from said movie to a image of the statue? The reason I say this is because how we remember someone looking could be different in reality.

This is a perfect statue, basically 100% likeness. JND keeps getting better and more impressive. This is the best Catwoman piece ever.

Oh I got the single. That mask version is incredible. I showed the picture of the jnd masked image and about 10 people... they all said it looked like a photograph from the movie. And were shocked when I said it was a statue. Jnd has raised the bar on the pfeffer catwoman statue. To me it looks exactly like the film. Her hips are a bit wide, not by much, but they are.

Chris I feel like the price influences your perception of the art when it comes to JND. Your JND reviews are always negative. Every time. This was an instant PO for me and many of my collector friends. Love you and your channel though.

It's obvious just how great this piece is

I ordered the dual set. I missed out on the Prime 1 version. I wish that JND would’ve included the single version base for those who purchased the set. The combo set should also have the ability to separate at the base, with maybe a magnet between. I think the suit version is 97%, while the Selina is about 89%. Overall, I think the dual set is a slightly better bang for your buck and I truly doubt anyone will ever make a Selina Kyle/Michelle Pfeiffer. I’ll have this set paired with my Prime 1 Keaton set!

I think jnd killed it to me it looks perfect, even the wax museum's cant get them this good given the life size opportunity they get and they never look accurate, so you need to appreciate what these artist can accomplish eith such small canvases comapred to life size 👏🏻 i think this one is better thencthe blitz way in my opinion but both are still amazing

I think that people value your opinion Batman, and it's your channel/your platform, your rules. I own a couple of JND Studios pieces and I know for a fact that they look a lot better in person than I've ever been able to capture in a photo or video. Display space and proper lighting make a huge difference as well. Selfishly I'm glad that more people don't like JND studios statues because it makes them fairly easy for me to attain 😂

Funny and True that some people only say the statues are good depends on if they own it or if they afford it. If they don't, they will just think the statues are bad... In many cases, they never see it in person... And for sure, everyone got different tastes... P.S. Try to admire, just be cool, it is just a hobby

I reallllllly like the likeness, I can see immediately Michelle Pfeiffer! The Catwoman version is awesome too, but I think that the suit isn't shiny enough and is it me or she doesn't have large hips like that?? Except these small details, that's a super nice effort 👌👌😃😃

I think ,from the movie,they used a leather for the mask and rubber/latex for her catsuit. That’s why the catsuit is a little bit shinier than the mask. And it seems like JND made it all leather-like texture.😅 Anyway,still a very beautiful statue and I’d say the best so far👏🏻👍🏻

The Dual Version on JND Website is $3.500…. and All Sold Out! Why so quick? Then I found Third Party Websites have this Duel Version for $4200…. I hate people that Bought them so quick and made it Sold Out then Re-Sale $700 more Profits…. 🤮

Shame they make these so limited they sell out so fast when the demand is there and people miss out and go empty handed. I would've grabbed the dual version yesterday had they made a few more. I'm willing to bet there are a LOT of people like me who have kept an eye on the JND statues but who weren't aware that you have to plan your day around getting one of these and to be first in line to get your order in, and now they missed their shot.

Honestly I love it, way above my price range though. Depending on which picture or angle you look at she can appear to be either spot on or a bit amiss. Light just doesn't scatter the same way on silicone and it seems like they're having a hard time capturing an accurate picture on camera. Really looking forward to someone reviewing it side by side with the Prime 1 Studio and some movie pictures for comparison.

I think this is JND's best likeless to date. It's the first one I would buy, all of theirs have been too off before this (imo for the price). I already own the Blitzway one so will pass on this but if I didn't own it, I would pick this one up.

That’s the crazy thing to me. This is honestly one of their best likeness’s to date. But I suppose everything is in the eye of the beholder.

From my POV. This piece from JND is the best so far. I’d pick this and a 1/6 from tweeterhead by Trevor Grove .

I think its spot on. Both this and the Blitzway has its strengths. Blitzway's is like an idealized version of the character in between comic and real life. The JND is much more film accurate. Darkside in hand might surprise.

No statue is perfect, no likeness is 100%. Why is this such a huge issue? Those that collect JND go back for a reason and they sell out each time. Why are we insistent on having mini clones of actors? Why cant we enjoy the art? These are sculpted by artists, approved by studios, and mass-produced for fans. A drawing of an actor might be off but we collect art and know what the image represents. But if it's stone or silicone we zoom in at 200 percent and measure the distance from the nose to the cheekbone and start posting negative comments without ever seeing it in person. It's one of the parts of the hobby that has sucked some of the joy out of it. This JND statue looks amazing but so does Prime 1, that is 100% ok.

Very well said man. People that tend to insult JND are the ones that can’t afford them. No need to insult a statue company. Jnd is not for everyone. I personally think Jnd is the best statue maker.. I rather save money for one Jnd than buy mutiple lesser statues

@@CristianoBanerjee JND offers a superior product. I will continue to support their efforts. I also collect P1, Queen and XM. All for different reasons. Price does keep coming up when people hate JND. The beauty of modern day collecting is there is a price point for everyone. JND is not hiding the fact that they are premium. Neither is Louis Vuitton, Rolex, or Bentley. One can get the same thing with Calvin Klein, SEIKO and Lexus. Still great brands but at a more afordable price. The more luxurious options presets higher detail, craftsmanship and quality, and lets be honest none of us need a mini human in our lives but those of us that enjoy the hobby have no issues with the cost. And just like the Rolex many of us inspire to own JND can be that for collectors. No need to hate the cost if it's beyond some peoples means or a product you wouldn't purchase at half the cost anyway. My point is really we can all play in the sandbox without the hate.

I think this and p1 looks equally good. This isn't $2,000 good, but it's good.

For me the masked version is 100% Pfeiffer in the role. The Selina version is not quite there for me but not by far. I am more intrigued with the fact that the costumed figure pose is so similar to the Blitzway piece.

Man i just wish they did a 1/3 of the joker from the 1989 movie with vicki vale from the cathedral dance scene 🔥

Just ordered the single version from Spec Fiction BSC! Never thought i would spend this much on a statue the only other time i have considered it was when Cinematech released their T-800 Endo. I did try and track down the Prime 1/Blitzway first but no dice and didn’t want to miss out on this while waiting for one of those to pop up. I think both versions are equally good. Excited for my first 1/3rd and what a one to start off with!

Out of all the hyper realistic statues to come out in recent years, this is the first one that really caught my eye. That unmasked version is spot on to how she looks out of costume in the movie. I'll get the dual version once it hits eBay, doesn't matter if it's 10 to 20 years from now - I'll get it. It's a long road but a lot of that time will have been spent finding new reasons to appreciate the film itself. By the time I get my hand on this, oh boy. The one thing I'm curious about is the gray skirt and gloves 3:53 because I rewatched the film last night and I could only see her wearing that turtleneck and coat, the rest was completely out of frame. I'm not sure if there are behind-the-scenes photos that give you a better look at that particular outfit that JND may have used as reference, or if this is a little bit of their own contribution to the look of the character. I read a comment on a forum discussing this piece, and they were wondering why JND didn't go for the ultimate "before" look of Selena, with the brown outfit and glasses. But I get what they were going for in having the masked and unmasked version of her from the same point in the film, instead of a "before and after".

The masked looks fantastic. The unmasked portrait's hair might use some adjustments and extra disheveling. Unmasked eyes have a Heath Ledger Joker vibe, bit heavy on the eyeshadow at-least. DarkSide's has less detail but I kind of like the sculpted version more - the portrait proportions seem more accurate too. JND likes to go with larger eyes - maybe for better contrast of detail when viewing at a distance of a few feet away - an optimal viewing distance perhaps.

I agree with Chris the unmasked version is a plus, for those who missed out on the Blitzway masked version have a very good alternative to pick up the two pack which would be my choice.

Yeah I'm not really feeling the likeness on this either. Sure you can tell who it's supposed to be, but it doesn't jump out to me as Michelle Pfeiffer the way it should for this price. And I disagree about the proportions because those hips are way too wide and curvy compared to how she looked in the movie.

I personally think that if your spending lots of money for these hyper realistic looking statues then you want the portrait to be perfect or at least close to the actress as possible nothing to do with being a hater lol 🤣

To each his own, blitzway is definitely very Good but with the exception of like the 1/3 joker,and Indiana Jones jnd is perfect with most of their statues . you're confusing Selena Kyle with Vicki Vale because Ms Kyle never witnessed Bruce Wayne putting flowers down that was Ms Vale lol .

The Catwoman is really good, much better than I expected based on the initial tease. For me JND, Prime1 and especially Darkside(by a mile), all missed the mark on proportions. Pfeiffer's Catwoman is incredibly lean, but none of these statues nailed that look. Still, Prime1 and JND are equally close for me. If I didn't already have my Prime1 Catwoman, I'd consider grabbing this one.

$7000Aud for the double pack, hard pass for me! Looks great but cost and likeness just isn’t there for that much money! Prime 1’s piece more affordable and nicer

I'm really considering it, but her hips are a bit big. I think the portrait is like 95%. The plain version is probably really really nice, I think she's wearing very thin pantyhose which I don't think you can see in the pictures. I wish the skirt was shorter! Maybe you could make it shorter yourself?

It’s fine, but for me I don’t collect actors… I can’t get past that it’s an actor in dress up/costume. I start thinking of all their other movies etc. but collect what you like 👍🏻

Its am amazing statue. It is, however, just a statue of Michelle Pfeiffer standing there in a costume - kind of like a mini Madame Tussuad's wax figure. I like super hero charcters to be in action poses, but that means smaller scales. Pick your poison (ivy).

Pretty sure the likeness is not 100% but after all, who cares, I am not buying anyway.

Totally disagree about the proportions. Blitzway one is PERFECT, this one is bizarrely too wide at the hips

Both JND and P1/Blitzway are great. JND it’s more real and movie accurate, but I don’t like her expression, while the expression of Blitzway it’s much better. I prefer Blitzway stand than JND stand absolutely. The unmasked portrait by JND it’s an epic fail for me: it’s another person. If I missed Blitzway, for sure I would have order the single version of JND. Someday I will buy a JND statue, maybe Batman 1992 of Michael Keaton if it will be a great statue who satisfied me.

You only need 1 thats the prime one blitzway version you have i still hope to buy that as my first statue but i collect damnn hot toys 😅 for 15 years now

JND costume looks like leather, not enough shine, and the eye cut outs are too proportional. Prime 1 looks more like the film. JND is a little too pristine. I have the JND on order but I do think Prime 1 was better. In hand comparison may change things, though. Can't go wrong with either.

It's actually incredibly accurate to the film. The suit was made of rubber and painted with silicone everyday. It was not latex and ultra shiny.

@Fiorwestcoast Silicone is very glossy in application, which is why she looks so reflective in the movie and still pictures. Anytime I've watched the movie, she looks highly reflective, much more like P1 than the matted down JND. The separation of her corset, while very accurate in detail, also stands out a little, contributing to the hips looking wider. I missed P1 so ordered the JND, but initially, I have some reservations. I'm hoping it blows me away in person. Ha

​@@JackRose-ry5joyou need to do a side by side. Prime1 is inaccurate in multiple ways. It's known now...the suit shine is one of them. If you look at jnd next to a screen shot of the film it's far more accurate. Plus the corset and boots are meant to be matte. P1s breasts are twice the size and her corset is laced completely wrong. The question isn't about which one is more accurate, jnd is obviously more accurate to the film. The question is if you prefer a artists rendition of a statue over film accuracy.

I see a doll when I look at the unmasked version. The masked version looks like she walked off the screen.

JND gets the credit for the best sculpted animal BY FAR! The Prime 1 cat looks silly in comparison.

By comparison, the DARKSIDE cat’s look really goofy to me; I’ll line them all up for a pic when in hand….it’ll look like the same cat seen after three, six and nine pints of Guinness! (I hope).

Tweeterhead’s 2.0 Batman Returns Catwoman 1/4 is 100% spot on but underrated and under radar from % of collectors. Sideshow’s The Crow 1/4 PF still has some whining “It’s not Brandon!” Looks good enough for me. Sculptors on scale sizes 1/6-1/3 are creatively improvising to simulate actors’ likenesses. Some JND photos of her portrait don’t look 100% but your video does with Michelle’s eye shadow. JND’s pretty pricey while like Blitzway’s, 1/1 scale busts may be better for naysayers, Idk 🤷🏻‍♂️ 😆

The Selina is very cool. Not perfect but I still like it. I have the P1/Blitzway and I'm satisfied. I think it has a better portrait and better paint.

He saw some JND statues live and he expressed his judge. He is not a JND hater but he prefers others kind of statues and I’m agree with him. There are some JND who are great, others absolutely not. I have 3 JND and I sold one because sucks (Joker from The Dark Knight 1/3).

I think the Blitzway is a little better BUT it is sold out. I think this JND is better than the Darkside images so if I get this, I would go JND.

You focus a lot on the portrait and not on the body proportions compared to Michelle's. The statue's hips are huge, she looks like Beyonce lol. That's a big miss in my opinion
