geocities wasn't a website on its own lol. it was a website where you could make and host your own website. most likely it wasn't "geocities" that reported the toad thing, but more likely some random person made their own website using geocities and hosted a bunch of fake images on it.

Well, each of them have appeared as trophies(Paula in "Melee", Chibi-Robo in "Brawl" & "for 3DS"), not to mention both of them getting stickers in "Brawl", plus I think Paula could even be seen in the original game. So, if that friend unlocked those specific forms, you would have already won that bet fair and square.

He wasn't. And I agree. Along with Snake, he's the most hype character reveal in Smash Bros. history. He basically represents the beginning of Nintendo's downfall, there was no conceivable way he would ever be in Smash Bros. If you told me he would make it in, I would've called you an idiot and expected you to say Goku was in it too. A lot would have been lost if he was leaked.

I was pleasantly surprised by duck hunt and Pac man. More surprised they didn't put Pac man In a fucking mech suit again. Pac is nimble quick can launch ghost chains and if they had done it right in tekken x street fighter given the ps3 capabilities had him utilize not just a ghost whip or power pellet attack but had him weld a fygar like guile welds sonic boom. He's the king of the Namco 8 bit universe

Plus, a Rhythm Heaven stage was found in the files of the Wii U version, so there’s the Chorus Kid’s homestage. Also, didn’t Sakurai say he considered Chrom but he would be too similar to Marth?

Leaky Steve actually leak the 100th episode and we all had no idea.

Oh my gosh, I still remember the Roy and Ryu leak, seeing those characters being playable before the Smash Bros Direct was such a weird feeling. But to be honest, it was at that point that I started a turning point towards leaks, back when that leak happened I thought leaks were the best thing ever but after seeing the direct I realized just how much they ruin things. Then later on Cloud was announced and I remember the hype I got from it and it was at that point I realized getting the information in the way the developers want really is the best way and since then, I've hated leaks and wish they would just go away.

There was one interview during the Brawl era where a member of the development team (I think?) accidentally said Luigi was in the game. At the time that was kinda huge because people though Luigi wouldn't appear because Sakurai wanted no clones in the game at all.

The Gematsu leaker had outdated information. In an interview, Sakurai did say that Chrom was initially planned, but did not go through with it becaude he wouldn't be unique compared to Robin. Lucina was apparently just an alternate character shared with Marth but he decided to make slight changes and have her be a stand alone because of those changes.

glad he figured out micrphone placment on the 3rd video I'm rewatching them all and man was hard to hear him in his first 2 videos

My eyes are instantly drawn to the bottle of Pepto Bismol that's dead center in-frame at the beginning of the video.

This reminds me of chibi robo. Nintendo wants him to be just as big as the rest of franchises. He should really be in smash.

Chorus Kids were probably cut, and Chrom was swapped for Lucina. So many things were right, there's no way it was fake.

Didn't mashed potatoes soccer eye mention the Chorus Kids being cut? There's also evidence of them in the game's files.

The characters that were never leaked or even rumored in some way were Rosalina, Corrin and Cloud.

Bradley Burke there is a rhythm heaven enemy in the 3ds version which suggest that the chorus men were in but cut, its possible chrome was gonna be in but cut early in probably in favor of ike coming back and already having robin

Keep in mind that Smash 4 has leftover files for Chorus Men actually in it, so it seems they were scrapped pretty late. Same goes for Mario RPG's Forest Maze music and Mewtwo/Roy victory themes in Brawl.
