It BELONGS to Pakistan now,,, gone of the days of the rajputs and which ever gao mutr tribe you can possibly imagine .

My ancestral village is "Nakrali" - Distt.Rawalpindi.Later my family moved to "Chhachi Mohalla" in Pindi. Then in 1947 my family moved to Jammu. Though I was born in Jammu I do recall my elders talking about Nakrali and Pindi always.The best sentence I still remember was "Assa ne Pindi Jehra Chaan Charna Aiya...Uss Heya Kiddray Ni Takkeya". Its my wish if I can visit this "Sarzameen" ever in my life time.Aameen Summa Aameen.❤

mera bachpn yahan guzra ha. banni talab ma hm doost froog pkkrte thee. hm loog jhangi mohallah m rehte thee. jahan mera school pak islamia school thaa. i was 5. 6 years old. then 1962 ma we shifted to saddar cantt. i still remember skme street shops etc. wah nice video

I lived 84 years in Rawalpindi yet I did not the History. I heard that Hatti chowk that a elephant stood there? And Lall kurtti was where some English regiment with redskilts were stationed.I saw scotish soldiersgoing to church on the Mall called church of scotland .Thanks

Rawalpindi was established by Rajput Maharana Bappa Rawal. He setup his first military post at Rawalpindi while chasing sway Arabs before 8th century. Later on he setup a city and named it Rawalpindi.

Sir G, I now live in UK but my old home in Rawalpindi is in area called Mittar Pura Mohallah, this is opposite Amar Pura Mohallah. Sad to see old history of Rawalpindi lost in history and sad to see people divided now after living side by side for centuries.
