I love Jaguars! I had one in the early 1990s.

You have the incorrect picture at 1997: Jaguar XKR/XK8. You got a picture of a X150 what you mean is X100 and the year was 1996. The XKR came in 1998, then X150 aluminium bodied XK with the new design came 2007. It also doesnt make sense that you put "2006 Jaguar XJ-L meaning the X351" in the wrong order, it came 2010 and the X358 (2007) was an earlier model based on the X350 (2002).

Agreed....very good video, but they missed the XK8 (X100), and pictured the wrong car.

1997 was the x100 XK8 & XKR 2007 was the x150 XK & XKR

Sir William Lyons would be turning in his grave. Knowing who owned his company today.

My first and second car was a Jaguar in the 70's. I am now 76 and I can tell you that Jaguar cars today have no connection with William Lyons cars of the past. The igronant motorist today just sees a traditional brand name with speed status. But note JAGUARS were Grace, Space ans Pace and pace came last on the list, because William Lyons and true Jaguar lovers also knew that the Jaguar car had so much more to offer than speed back then, and what you get in a new Jaguar today. When it came to Jaguars "you either got it or you did not". Sadly today people can't even see that they are buying the Emperors new clothes under the banner of common plastic fashion look alikes.

Ugh, watched majority of the video to get to the XKR part....the ones before 2003 had the original look. The facelift after 03' was no bueno. Still an elegant car today, turns heads every where :)

I agree with the viewer. Why did you avoid the xk8/xkr ? Are you embarrassed about Ford’s ownership of Jaguar? You seem to be. They saved the company from extinction. What gives?

@@Jagfan123 Yeah they also missed the facelift X-type from 2008 which I own, but later they reference the XF facelift, the irony is that Ford made Jaguars reliable, something that the XJR Sport I owned in the mid-90's certainly was not, and I wouldn't trade my X-Type for my XJR if you paid me now lol.

@@froggy0162 It makes sense to sell products that the customers will buy, not what the manufacturers (or car enthusiasts) would like to make. If customers prefer SUV's which cost more, use more fuel, emit more CO2, and drive less well than a sedan, then that's what they will make if they want to stay in business. SAme thing with aircraft. We all like to fly in big spacious comfortable jets like the 747 and A380, but if the airlines prefer twin engined planes, that is what they will make. SUV's may be less appealing to the eye but I would say that at least JLR's know how to style the better than practically anything from Korea, Japan, Germany and even Crewe and Goodwood!

Automakers want to sell SUVs because they’re more profitable, and spent a lot of time and money on convincing (gullible and dim…) consumers that’s what they wanted. It’s quite well documented. It started with Ford and their first gen Explorer - the one that killed thousands of people in rollovers before Ford was forced to admit a design fault…

Try a F type 400 2017 ...no plastic, all alloy and a fantastic bit of kit... 400 bhp from 3.0 litre SC V6 and a Porsche beater. But you won’t have driven one ..obviously
