    Please support this channel on Patreon: www.patreon.com/Nick930 You'll get early access to next months documentary, along with personalized shout-outs, behind the scenes videos and images, and with enough support - I can finally scale back those annoying ads so you guys can tune in and enjoy an uninterrupted experience. Thanks for tuning in everyone! I really appreciate the support. As always, this took a ton of time and effort, but I loved every minute of it. There's some games I never even had the chance to play before this project, so it was really cool getting to experience them for the first time. I highly recommend checking out these old games when you have the chance. I'd also like to confirm that next month's video will indeed be the entire history of "Call of Duty." So keep your eyes peeled for that coming sometime mid October :) [Because of the extreme amount of time required for this COD project, my review for Breakpoint has been postedponed. Rest assured, I will get to it, but there's 16 COD games, each with multiple extensive modes, so my focus is 100% on that atm]

    @@Spoggi99YT I misread that man. But yeah, grfs is great. I was excited for it when it was coming out until it got like 3 delays I forgot about it. Then played it in 2013. It's a great game and very unrated. But I dont think it compares to grb Edit- I replayed it this year, it is still a great game. I'm not knocking it, I just misread your post. Because I've seen so many people say gr2 and graw are better than breakpoint and I blame nostalgia, I realized nostalgia is the reason I miss battlefront 2(2004 or 2005), I played it and didn't have any fun lol. It was just nostalgia

  • @Osegis

    @Osegis

    @@jasontodd1175 Nostalgia? So let me tell you something about Nostalgia: In order to even attach the term to something it has to be captivating. This is the essence of Nostalgia, a point sealed in time. You know why so many people have "Nostalgia" over this series? Because they were good once upon a time. Many things were good, however that time has ended awhile back. Developers abandoned what made their series so special in order to appeal to more audiences, people who never played the game before. It's good to branch out in ideas but you can't deny that these companies try to cash out on Trends. GTA kinda set the trend for Open World, PUBG set the trend for Battle Royale, the list doesn't stop as there's limitless examples that we can give. It's like majority of them don't care, the only ones that do care is the ones that create new experiences for the rest of us. Something as remarkable as Witcher 3, The Last Of Us, God of War, and etc. These are the type of people that cares for games as a medium not companies like Ubisoft, EA, 2k........

    Really depends, I LOVE the old GR, R6, and Splinter Cell, but the newer games are still fun, no matter how dumbed down they've become. I just hope that they return to their roots, tactical/stealth games SHOULD be punishing, and I think what publishers are doing is avoiding frustrating the players, to keep the casual audience

    I just don't know why they had to make it less tactical like classic ghost recon and turn it into division/farcry. Like ghost recon can be its own thing you don't have to shoe horn mechanics from your other games into this one. Its all set up for revenue clearly. They've really ruined ghost recon along with rainbow six, turning it into a mlg thing.

    Yup, that's the sad truth unfortunately. Tom Clancy games used to be top of the line when it came to tactical games. Now they're all fast paced, xray-vision, xp-driven games that require zero attention span with a very small emphasis on actual realism. We went from Ghost Recon 1 actually predicting the Russian invasion of Georgia to Breakpoint where you're fighting some robots on an imaginary island against comic book level villains. 2004-2005 was the peak of Tom Clancy games, and 2008 was the last good year. After that everything has been absolute rubbish. Such a shame.

    I agree tbh. They could’ve just had it where the Division and perhaps a couple of other games were this fast paced Michael Bay shooter games and then have Ghost Recon be this tactical game, to keep everyone happy. But they decided it would be better to abandon uniqueness and make a more open world Call of Duty, since that’s what Wild-lands is, let’s not lie. But I suppose in a way people created it, since everyone liked these Michael Bay explosiony games, so they decided to create something out of Call of Duty Black Ops (the more modern ones), it’s a shame but it was to be expected when everyone clinged to such games

    Nick930 Lol, true enough. But when you think of robots and some dudes with a mask hunting you down, it’s more reminiscent of something that the more modern installations would use…I’m pretty sure once in Black Ops 3 they even had a mission where you hunted down a person in a robot. Unlike the first one which was dated back in the Cold war, something I still prefer over a lot (but not necessarily all) of these futuristic games and even some modern ones

    Ghost Recon (2001, PC) was the first game I've ever played, and still a game I play from time to time in coop with a couple of people. Nothing like it. 18 years have passed, and I've never seen an enemy AI as formidable as those damn ultranationalist Russians... After their decision to consolise the series and pander to the younger console audience, GR stopped being what it was always supposed to be and what the first one truly was, a rival to ARMA (back then, Operation Flashpoint). It's truly sad to see what became of the series. Also, anyone remembers how amazing and adrenaline pumping the music used to be? JAG, Stargate and others at the time had similar music style, I don't know what it was, but god damn was it amazing.

It’s very quiet and tense, peppered in with some of the most intense shootouts you can possibly engage in in a game. It’s also eerie when a distant squad member kills an enemy and whispers “goodbye” into the radio. Despite the limited graphics, Redstorm did everything in its power to make Ghost Recon as intense and atmospheric as possible. 10/10 game.

    My Top 3 1. GR Wildlands - massively underrated game of the year in 2017. I’m a big fan of the cartel narrative and taking down the organization like a real agent, this game also came out during the Netflix show Narcos in full swing and with El Chapo in the news this game felt so relative. Unfortunately BreakPoint doesn’t have the same charm and is not as interesting imo. Also the crossovers with siege, splinter cell, predator, witches, yeti, etc.. this game was truly special. Ghost War was very fun to play as well and the devs always listened to the audience to what needed to be added and changed. 2. GR Future Solider - This was awesome when it came out in 2012 another underrated game for that year. The campaign, the change in style, the graphics, details, gadgets, stealth, the overall feeling of this game was truly an epic experience. You truly felt like a super badass secret squad. I don’t remember much of the PvP in this game but I do remember it being fun the first initial times playing it. 3. GRAW 2 - Just a classic game in the series. My first real experience of online Xbox back in those days. I’ll always remember how real and fun it was to be in a squad with your buddies playing PvP and you’d be talking and all of a sudden you couldn’t hear your friend on the mic because he got killed and went into the death chat - those were good times before party chat killed game chat.

    Just bought breakpoint and played on advanced difficulty, and I gotta say I honestly think I love it. The amount of customs settings you can play around with now is amazing. You have your division/gun blazing type experience if you want or you can go back to the wildlands type gameplay. And if you want to punish and push yourself to the “breakpoint” you can practically make it like old ghost recon we’re one shot will put you out of commission with often injurys with you having to play as stealthy as possible. Now about the drones people hate. I think you forgot the point of the game and that is to avoid the drones at all costs as you know there killing bullet resistant machine gun strapped robots. First I highly recommended always bringing a high cal. Sniper for flying drones. If drones are really in your way you will either have to make a kill zone by placing mines and hijacking a missile chopper or minigun truck, or cause a explosion on the other side of the compound that will draw their attention while you get your objective done. Now there are parts with forced drone confrontation and those can get annoying but there rare so if you have to lower the difficulty for that bit don’t feel bad. Big tip is to play panther or echolon as one of your classes as there great at stealth, especially panther as you can make yourself invisible to drone making it easy to walk by or place a c4 bundle for a easykill. Sniper (forgot the name of the class) is also a great choice high damage and with npc not knowing exactly were you are just because you shot, they will look around and panic as long as you don’t make yourself easily visible. The game is just harder wildlands which I enjoy. The game is meant to be hard at certain points if your gonna play in wildlands mode. Gone is day were you were the hunter and could drive around freely you will have to stick the dirt and grime of off-road most of the time when traversing. Give breakpoint a try now especially with it’s deep state dlc. I highly enjoyed it, you just gotta set the settings appropriately and have a non-conventional/high preparation way of approaching threats.

    I like Red Storm Entertainment version of Ghost Recon. Tactical gameplay with cover mechanics with squad commands is the perfect idea on paper, but sadly they want to make a casual experience. Proof of this, GR: Break point has microtransactions on gear, in order to force players to skip the grind fest due to its The Division looter shooter, and its RPG lite elements.

    the story in wildlands is actually pretty good. most of the story is actually found within the video, audio, and written kingslayer files. this might be seen to some as exseive or out of place but to me seems more realistic as why would we, as soldiers sent in to stealthily/ anonymously kill of the cartel heads, be told everything out of the box. so when people play the game I do recommend looking closer at these files as they fill out the rest of the story

    People tend to forget that the name is “Ghost Recon”. Reconnaissance. Seeking out information. Your average gamer is probably not going to take that into consideration and not pick up anything other than what they’re told to pick up.

    Now that I've had a chance to play Breakpoint, I've since gone back and started Wildlands again. Wildlands ended up being a really good game and while Ubi made some good changes to Breakpoint they failed to bring the same world feel that WL had and that's a noticeable difference. Since Ubi will continue to update Breakpoint, it may end up being as good as Wildlands, but it's got some catching up to do.

    @@wtbchildhood My only real issue with BP is that it's taken a very long time to fill out the development. I understand that they want to release things at their pace, however, there comes a point when even adding new components doesn't really change the same old game.

    @David Mizser I agree. Wildlands just had the right formula and it made the game feel unique with each mission/side quest you did. BP didn't have that. However, the stealth aspect of BP is superior, by far, to Wildlands.
