Hey Tech Steve, love the review of the U6H. But I have my eyes set on the U8H. I hope you do a review on that one as I am hearing some really great things about it. But I also read that it is only an 8 bit panel. Can’t confirm that on Hisense’s website though. Maybe you can find out. Also, it would be helpful to some of us if you can measure the distance of the legs/feet of the stand to help determine if the HDTV can fit on top of narrow TV stands (which also couldn’t be found on their website). If you're really on a tight budget, this is a great option. But the U7H and now the U7K are substantial improvements for just a little more money. The U7H/U7K gets quite a bit brighter, it has more dimming zones, it has an ATSC 3.0 tuner, and it can do 4K 120Hz for gaming.

Which is the better operating system, Roku tv or Google tv ? Since the Hisense higher end tv only offer google tv and not Roku. Is the navigation switching between cable tv and streaming apps on google tv as easy as on Roku? Which operating system is preferred today?

I have the Vizio M 2021 in my living room, but thinking about replacing it with the Hisense U6H. I like the way you can hook up Atmos soundbar.

I really wish you were able to show movie clips on these televisions - that's all I use my TV for, and none of these 'demo' clips or games give me a good idea of how things - like films - would look in motion. That said, I still really appreciate all the work you put into these videos - thank you!

Thank you for the great content. I'm just wondering if I should worry about vertical viewing angle when purchasing a TV like this. I haven't found much info about vertical viewing angle. I can only place my TV above a French style fireplace so it would be quit high. Viewing is best when I stand up. I don't really wanna pay extra for an oled.

Hi tech steve(sir) why do tv companies make the ports far inside behind of the tv? Some even put the usb port right behind the tv to the point of been inaccessible if you wall mount it.it would be better to have it on the side and just two inches right from the side.

I could be wrong, but another review on the same Hisense TV; to turn off the mini LED light at the bottom of the TV can be done in settings I believe you go to lighting and LED light option is available.

I am an unfortunate owner of Hisense Tornado 50 inch TV and the panel has got complaint within 1 year of purchase (my model comes with a 5 year warranty). I have contacted customer care and raised a complaint on 10.10.2022 and till date I haven't got the panel replaced. Customer care personnels are very polite and does their job well. But that does not make any difference. So I suggest you all that , if you are going for budget brands it's fine only if you are planning to purchase a 'Use and Throw' product. if you are planning to have a TV that lasts for many years with best service support then don't go for brands like these.

I'm having a hard time deciding between this one or the 65" U7H. Guess i need to watch the comparison. I've owned 2 of the Walmart $269 58" TV's but both only lasted about 2yrs before the Backlighting goes out. My current one has gotten much darker to see & the buzzing noise is getting louder. However, for the price, if last a year? It's worth throwing away & buying another 1 but, i want a brighter non-roku tv

Can u do a review between the Hisense u6h vs Hisense u7h? I really want to see a comparison on the two

Steve my problem is on the Qled 55 E7H during and when I open and close games on my PS5 the tv losing signal for a few seconds. Screen goes black and prompt appears hdmi signal lost. I’ve tested now 2 TVs and both do the same thing. On the 50” the screen goes black but no prompt appears that signal is lost. Thanks

Not at the this point, I’ve moved on to the next project. I use high 4k or streaming content. Low resolution sources the TV has to upscale and that causes alot of judder. I’m using KZread TV it’s clean and clear

Rtinga mentioned the 75 inch is a Len IPS panel. Could you confirm if the 75inch is IPS/VA?

One question, you mentioned the optical out to go to hifi system, which I'm using at present for a stereo setup 2 fronts and 2 subs, but I also wonder (as I have no centre channel) could I connect a soundbar (like the Bose 900) via e arc and have both running this way, I could utilise my large front speakers and subs, plus have surround sound from the soundbar (and even connect wirelessly to the likes of rear wireless Bose speakers) is this possible do you know?

I would like to know is this TV better than a Samsung or just as good because my Samsung TV is going well out that a motherboard is messing up I only had it a year I got it at Best buy thank God I got the warranty and they was going to give me a new TV what I want and I seen this model 75U6H My Samsung is not a Google TV it just have Google stuff in it I guess it's a new model with the one with the skinny remote is a 65-in but it does have Google in it and Alexa whatever I want to choose

It gets bright enough but glare is something that you can’t avoid, budget TVs don’t have good anti glare, only expensive qled and OLEDs have it.

Persuaded my mom to buy this TV based on my experience with my U6G. She did not get the same quality TV. Everything is great till you watch streaming apps in Dolby vision and HDR10. Picture is worse than normal TV viewing. Very dark and smokey Picture. Not sure if defective panel or what but now I'm pushing the Sony X75K. More expensive but it's a sony...

Excellent video, Steve! One thing that stuck out and I noticed is that you said that the remote control uses BlueTooth and can be PAIRED to the TV. So it looks like a person could buy 2 of these TVs, put them in the same room (like I have here) and each can have THEIR OWN remote paired to them separately so that TV 1's remote won't trigger TV 2 and visa versa. Is that right? This is a big deal for me here. Right now, we have our main TV, which is a Panasonic 3D Plasma. And sitting right beside it is a Sony 4K that I'm using for this computer, Netflix and YoutTube. Their remotes, being the "bigger" companies, don't interfere with each other. But the Panasonic 3D Plasma is getting older now and if it gets to a day when it fails to a point where I can't fix it, I would want to get another Sony (most likely). BUT THAT IS A PROBLEM because, unless Sony has changed things (and I think that they may have on new sets) the remotes will interfere with each other. And THAT'S A PAIN IN THE PATOOTY! In my Lab, I have 2 TVs. A 49" Sharp and a cheapy, tiny little Insignia (it was a cheap one that we bought so our little doggie would have some noise around while we were at work.). The thing is, these are 2 totally different brands (SUPPOSEDLY) but also, the Sharp is only about 2 years old while the tiny junk TV is around 10 years old (or so). THE REMOTES INTERFERE with each other!!! So I'm hoping that the newer Sony TVs would have a BT remote rather than infrared so that they won't interfere.

Most newer TVs use both, so the ir can still trigger a 2nd TV if it’s in a line of sight

This might sound silly. But I've always been curious about this. When a TV have a Ethernet outlet in the back. Does it mean you can plug your wifi router to the back of the TV?

I bought the TU7000 two days ago and returned it today as the picture was not clear. I exchanged it for the U6H and it's such a major improvement in clarity. U6H has a much better screen and 4 HDMI inputs vs 2 for the Samsung.

How many nits of maximum brightness does it have in both SDR and HDR?

The tuner is ATSC 1.0 not 2.0. The 2.0 standard was never used.

I bought the Hisense 65" 4K U6GR from Best Buy almost 4 weeks ago, but I don't remember if I noticed the Hisense 65" 4K U6H on their website. I wish I had and I'm uncertain if I chose the best out of the 2 models. So far, I like my new TV but I just wish I had a lot more research first, I guess I didn't do enough and I wish I asked questions before I made my purchase. Right now, both models are the same price at $499.99 each, price may change on 12/26. Did I choose the best Model? That's what I'm starting to question, especially noticing that I could actually install and use Kodi on U6H and the fact that the Google TV model offers a 2 Year Warranty. If you had to chose one over the other when it comes to picture quality and sound for movies/tv shows and the operating system, which is better? This is only my 2nd 4K tv, both have been Roku models, so I don't have a lot of experience with any of the other TVs with the different operating systems. I'm only familiar with the Roku TV for the last 2 years and I have used a Firestick since 2015 to stream on Kodi etc.

I don't remember seeing the Hisense 65" U6H with Google TV. If I did, I think I noticed people's comments that they disliked Google TV, and I don't remember if the price was $499.99 like the model I purchased. Should I have honestly gone with the 2022 model (U6H) instead? If only I had done a lot more research prior to my purchase and asked reviewers their opinions.
